"We visited the hotel in the last week of April, specifically to see the Keukenhof Gardens. The hotel is ideally situated for these, being only 20-25 minutes walk to the entrance. The centre of Lisse itself is about a half hour walk, and there are several excellent restaurants around the 'square'. Service in the hotel restaurant tended to be on the slow side, and at the bar when we were there, there was only one bartender taking the restaurant drinks orders as well, which resulted in quite long waits for a drink at the bar. The food standard was acceptable. Taxi from Schipol takes about 20mins, dependent on traffic, and cost 43 Euros. Buses to Haarlem and Leiden (for trains to Amsterdam) stop at hotel entrance. Hotel description:    The famous flower and bulb region with beach, sea, lakes and dunes and also interesting cities like Amsterdam and The Hague at a short distance. The hotel is situated 5 minutes away from the highway A4 and also is reachable with public transport.

With miles of bulb fields and flowering tulips, there is a lot to do in the surroundings. The hotel offers peace, sportive, entertainment and all the facilities for a good ambiance. Restaurant De Nachtegaal is totally renovated and has a trendy and relaxing ambiance.

Comfortable rooms (non smoking) with bath / showerand toilet, of which the bathrooms where recently renovated. Every room also contains an ISDN-phone, free wireless internet and tv. There are recreation possibilities like an all-weather tennis court, a swimming pool, a sauna and bicycles for the many bicycle routesin the bulb region. Our restaurant also has a dinner & dancing evening every Saturday night.

Getting there: By public transport from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol:
Take a train to Hoofddorp station and then take bus 52/59 from Hoofddorp to Lisse.
Take a train to Leiden station and then take bus 50 from Leiden to Lisse.
Take a train to Haarlem station and then take bus 51 from Haarlem to Lisse.

By car with a navigationsystem:

From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT:
Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM.

Because they are working at the N208 you can have some delays.

In the weekend of 18 September 2009 and 2 October 2009 the N208 will be closed out and you are going to be diverted.
