An unusual name for a hotel but it was very good. The location on the lake made for a beautiful view, both day and night and there was easy access to the town. I would recommend a lake view room to take advantage of the position although it was i the higher price range. The people in reception were friendly and happy to help with our questions on a variety of topics. Overall an excellent experience.
Good location on Lake Geneva waterfront at south end of Montreux, but railway tracks just behind hotel meant rooms on the back or side were disturbed by frequent trains. Beautiful veranda facing the lake for dining or drinks. Clean modern baths but room a bit tight with extra bed. Good breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Very limited public parking so I had to rent a reserved space for Chf 18/night but some other cars would take my space a couple of times and hotel did not know whose car it was. But at least they deducted the charges. No bellboys either. Overall though I would still recommend this hotel.
The hotel location was good. Quite near Montreux station. Just have to take bus 201 from the opposite side of the station (have to walk down a flight of steps but it was easy). Easy walk to Christmas Market and Chillion Castle.
I returned to this hotel because I had enjoyed it so much lst time I was here. The hotel is lovely with plenty of access to the lake and the staff were invariably helpful. My one complaint is that the rooms facing towards the road and the railway are extremely noisy with the windows open and as it was particularly warm and humid at night I was obliged to leave the windows open and suffered broken sleep as a result. My suggestion if you're not booking a lake view room is to ask for one of the rooms facing out to the side of the hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay. Perfect location with lake view, professional staff, spotless rooms, everything you need . I already advised all my friends to stay here.
It was a very enjoyable stay - nice hotel and nice staff!
This is one of those lovely old hotels right on the lake. If you area arriving by train, it is some dsitance from the train station if walking, but the No 1 bus goes right past it and stops almost outside. Beutifully maintained inside, as with all old hotels you get some noise from the upstairs rooms through the squeeky floors, but not so much of a problem.
Beds rather on the small size. OK for comfort but taller people may find this a problem. Restaurant food and breakfast were both good but they do not really understand how to make coffee. Main problem is the railway line at the back with rumbles through the hotel during the night. This would be a problem so if you are a light sleeper take the earplugs! Montreaux in the spring is a truly beautiful place to visit with fantastic colourful flowers and trees everywhere and wonderful scents in the air with a backdrop of the snow capped French alps across te water.
Service was very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed my stay.
This hotel is well situated on the Lake. It was an ideal location for the Montreux Jazz festival, with bus service easily accessible. The view from the window balcony is exquisite. Breakfast was included and was wonderful.
Hotel room is very neat and clean. Quiet and yet within walking distance to the lake promenade. Breakfast room and provisions are very good. Would recommend Montreux and this hotel as a nice starting point for Golden Pass tour.
A beautiful hotel with excellent views over Lake Geneva. A room with a balcony facing the lake is a must!
