This hotel was a nice one for the price. We stayed 2 nights and upgraded to a larger room the second night stay for a small additional charge. The staff were just great! I had them fix a burnt out light with No problems and in a timely manner. We felt safe there and Monterey was right down the road for our Saturday enjoyment. Sunday we enjoyed the John Steinbeck Museum right there along with some local downtown restaurants and pubs! We had a great time and will come back to this hotel again.
My experience at the Good Nite inn was an exceptional stay. First of all I would like to say that Beeson the Manager at this location provided excellent customer service. He took the time to listen to our needs and made sure our stay was a comfortable one. His character showed professionalism & made us feel like family. Second, housekeeper Susanna is amazing. She made sure our room was tidy & went the extra mile to make sure our needs were met. Again Many thanks & would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. I am one happy cutomer!

For the price it was a very good deal and they even give you muffin, coffee and juice in the morning. My bed was too soft, and they had also left the remote control without batteries and I was already in my pj's and didn't want to bother the front desk, but otherwise I was very happy with the room.
I had asked for a wakeup call. The first morning I recieved it, the second morning I did not. Fortunately I had a backup.
Fair accomodations for a fair price. Convenient location for Monterey and Marina. Don't expect service with a smile. Although we requested a non-smoking room, the hotel claimed they had not received such a request and had assigned us a smoking room and were not willing/able to change. I don't know if this is HotelClub's or Good Nite Inn Salinas's fault but if you have a preference: make sure that the hotel gets the message well in advance.
Friendly place.. a little out of the way if you are not driving, but still within walking distance of Salinas town centre. The major disadvantage is the noise of two major roads on either side of the motel. I suggest ear plugs! However, excellent value for money if you are travelling on a budget.
