From the village of Macroom head in the direction of Cork. Just outside the village of Macroom there are gates to enter a Castle on the right hand side of the road. Turn right at this junction and follow the road (R584) to Inchigeelagh and Ballingeary. Go 1 mile past the village of Ballingeary and you will see a signpost indicating a right turn to Gougane Barra Hotel. The hotel is at the end of this narrow road at the entrance to a National Forest Park. |
