"hotel is being decorated rooms are refurbished still smelling of fresh paint, alittle strong at night. Staff freindly and helpfull. Breakfast very basic cont., would have been nice to have say boild eggs or cooked meats. Would stay again for over night stop. Parking is secure costing £5 per night. " - Anonymous

ROAD: Leave the A1 and join A186 (Westgate Road) towards the City Centre and continue for approximates 2 miles. Grainger Hotel is on the left.
Train :Leave the railway station and proceed left along Neville street towards Westmorland Road A6115). From Westmorland Road turn right onto Blenheim Street/St. James Boulevard (A189). Then turn left onto Westgate Road. Continue along Westgate road for about 3/4 of a mile and you have arrived at Grainger Hotel.
