Brilliant hotel, basic room was huge with good facilities. Breakfast buffet was very good. Also grounds/pool lovely. Short walk to centre through Japanese water garden. would recommend for quiet vacation
Excellent hotel in a beautiful place. We did not have an evening meal there as there are lots of very good restaurants in Benahavis. A lovely place to stay away from all the hustle and bustle of the coast
Standard room with views
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in recent years and I have enjoyed the ambiance, the facilities - especially the swimming pools - and most of all the excellent location. I found the sausage and the bacon at breakfast was a bit disappointing but the wide range of alternatives available, more than made up for it. The staff were friendly and the hotel is close to the town's sports facilities and famous restaurants.
Lovely location ,swimming pools and gardens.Hotel very impressive and it looks as if no expense has been spared in construction and decor.Rooms very clean and comfortable.Food, especially dinner, was excellent and reasonably priced for the location.Service could have been a bit slicker, but overall excellent value for money and thoroughly recommended.
It's nice to stay in an hotel on the Costa del Sol that doesn't have vehicles tearing past all hours. Situated at the top of the valley, there are wonderful views and walks to be had from this hotel yet be so near the beaches and golf courses. The breakfast room was very noisy due to the staff washing up and sorting cutlery!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and can recommend it very highly we cannot recall staying at a hotel which was excellent in every way and the setting near the village of Benahavis was so pleasant with the village itself boasting the choice of some absolutely excellent restaurants as an alternative to dining at the the Hotel which itself has an excellent restaurant. We can,t wait until our next visit!
Thorougly enjoyed our stay
Enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the Gran Hotel Benahavis. Facilities were first class and there was always sun loungers available at either of the two pools. Plenty of good local restaurants a 5 minute walk up the hill (try the Amanhavis - expensive but worth it), however if you are looking to dine in Puerto Banus (which we did quite a lot) expect to pay 20 Euros each way in taxi fares. Please ensure you book a taxi in advance as it took up to an hour in some instances to arrive at the hotel. Only had breakfast at the hotel therefore can only comment on this. However, what i will say is that it is by far the best breakfast buffet i have had in comparison to other hotels that i have stayed in - lots of variety. Our double room was very nice, however the view we had was of a retaining wall to the rear of the hotel, we would have probably preferred a pool view. Would definitely stay in this hotel again and really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.
We live on the costa and wanted a mini break away from the mayhem of the coast in July and August. Benahavis is the perfect getaway place and the hotel, the facilities and the staff I could not fault. The Spa facilities are excellent and I would highly recommend the massage. Also the local restaurants are superb with a high standard of service. We will be going back!!!!
we love this hotel our third visit and will be back. Don't promote to too many people so it doesn't get spoilt - highly recommened for a very very quiet break. Let me know if there are any offers !!!!
This hotel provided our family of four a very relaxing environment for both a short and long stay. Very good value for money.
Lovely quite hotel away from it all in the mountains. Would visit again.
