Located right on the edge of the old town means it is in easy walking distance to most of Seville's historic sights. There are many litttle park areas nearby in which to escape the heat while exploring the fascinating cobbled streets. Close to the train station - walking distance if you are youngish and it's not too hot. Bus stop is just outside which takes you around to the national bus station - getting the train from Malaga to Seville, staying a night at Gran Lar and catching the bus to Lisbon was cheaper than flying from Faro to Lisbon. The restaurant provided value for money. I would stay there again.
Old hotel but well kept and clean. This hotel is located close to old town centre.
Comfortable rooms all fully equipped and an ideal atmosphere for you to relax.
a short walk from Santa Justa station from the airport bus, and a short walk into the tourist area
This hotel is located close to old town centre as well as close to train station (walking distance 10 to 15 min). It is an older hotel but well kept and clean. Furniture in rooms and TV sets are older style but functional. Bathrooms are renowated (new floor tiles, sinks etc.). Rooms are with air conditioning (it is a must!). Staff in the reception is friendly, helpfull (English is well understood). No opinion about food - we used to eat in other places in town.
The hotel seems to be stuck in the 1970s but I found that not to be a problem. I got a fantastic deal on HotelClub and it was worth every penny. Good size rooms, clean and functional. only some of the desk staff speak English. If you exWithin walking distance of the historic centre and the railway station. Didn't try the restaurant. Soundproofing is not great and pect modern 4* standards, you're in for a shock, but all in all a very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend it to all but the most fussy of travelers.
Good location, ancient building, but clean and renovated not long ago. You don't have much to do in the hotel, but if you go to Seville there are tons of other things you can spend your time with. We had no problems what so ever with the hotel and enjoyed the stay.
Although stated 4 stars this hotel is convenient for its location to Seville main railway station (10 mins walk away) but it's quite a way to the main city centre. I can imagine the hotel used to be at its prime when it was first built however it's pretty outdated. It's fine for a one or two night(s) stay.
Although not 4* as claimed, the Gran Lar is perfectly adequate for a short city break. The rate was very competetive and the location is OK being 10/15 mins walk from the Old Town or the shopping district. Reception staff helpful.
Hotel is very well located. It is a working distance for all the best historical places of Seville. Following good suggestions of « [website]» the price was very suitable for the quality. For one night it is an excellent choice. For longer staying more comfort is needed. The main drawback is sound protection inside the hotel. If someone takes shower a couple floors above you can not sleep anymore.
Hotel a little far ut of the main centre. Staff a little grumpy but otherwise OK. Breakfast good
Very comfortable and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the Cathedral and the Alcazar, but you can wander virtually the whole way down the small streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz. Though if you were feeling lazy or tired the circular bus routes run close to the hotel. Breakfasts are excellent with lots of choice and again helpful staff. I would recommend this as the perfect hotel to stay in Seville, so long as you don't mind walking a bit, or are happy to use the bus.
1. The mattress were too soft, which caused my wife a pain in the back and almost ruined our vacation. 2. Breakfeast is relatively dull. 3. Seville is a great place.
Lovely breakfasts here and decent fruit as well. Good selection. Rooms very comfortable and staff really friendly and helpful. We were really pleased to find how near we were to the railway station as it is so much cheaper to catch the bus here to the airport. taxi was a bit expensive on arrival. Very easy to get to and from all the main attractions and we walked everywhere. Supersol supermarket very near the hotel as well you would have to ask which avenida.major bus route also near hotel leading to and from the older parts of town.
Excellent Hotel, no problems at all.
Excellent Hotel.
A little out of the centre but still only a fifteen minute walk to Plaza Nueva. Good sized rooms and the staff were quite helpful to us the non-Spanish speaking guests.
Not a 4* hotel, but still a decent place to stay, if the price is right.
The staff at the hotel were very friendely and eager to help you.
Exactly what one would expect from a Spanish 4* hotel. If the price is right, you can't go far wrong with this.
The dining room was the only weak area of the hotel. Evening meal - poor choice on menu and poor service. Breakfast - no variation day by day. Clearing tables very slow.
