Metro Colon (100 metres) Lot of buses stop in front of the building. Taxi from Airport: 25 minutes (20 - 25 euros) Atocha Station: 2 kms away. Take bus 27 The Hotel, located in Plaza de Colón, is accessible through Paseo de la Castellana, Calle Goya and Calle Génova. Public transport: underground, line 4 (Serrano or Colón stations); Cercanías-Renfe trains (Recoletos train station); urban buses and direct buses from the airport. My wife and I could not ask for a better hotel and location to travel through out Madrid Spain. The sites were incredible and the people at the Hotel Gran Melia Fenix were helpful and friendly. We plan on using this hotel Chain in the future for future vacations and are planning on using this Hotel as our choice for a starting point.

A very well-maintained hotel; staff demonstrated excellent hospitality towards all the guests staying there. Keep it up! Having said that and since there is always a room for improvement, I must say that this hotel needs to show more English speaking TV channels in order for foreigners to feel at home. Regards, UR
