Gran Ronda Hotel Barcelona

Very clean, quiet, close to metro stations and city centre. Great base from which to explore, and easy to do so. Room was modern in a minimalist style, but comfortable and enjoyable. Compared well with hotel rooms in other cities.

My mom and I went away for a few days before a business trip of mine and stayed at the Hotel Gran Ronda. All the reviews for this place were spot on. Great location, friendly staff, clean hotel, but you will definitely miss it when walking on the street if you aren't looking for it! But overall nothing special... The other correction I had was that when getting off the Aerobus or subway, the plaza universitat was closer and more convenient than the plaza catalunya. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel, but there are pastry shops around. There is also a Starbucks on the way to plaza catalunya.

Overall, a great little spot! Staff extremely helpful. Rooms very small but adeqate.

A basic hotel (clean beds, shower, good service), Gran Ronda is a great base to explore the key sights of the city. It's also just a 3 min walk to the nearest train station. The main gripe I had was the noise level. We stayed on the first floor and you can hear the traffic, loud conversations on the streets and even the metro passing underground. A definite "no" for light sleepers but otherwise, a decent hotel with a great location.

Good hotel and the reception are helpfull. WI HI is free.

Good location (only 5 min from Plaza Catalunya), Very helpfull receptionists, clean and cheap hotel. Next time i travel to Barcelona, i will not search for another hotel!.

Big enough room Good location, 8 min walking from Rabla, 2 min from airbus station. Little noise from the metro

In a very good position, I asked for a front room, the recepcionist said they only had a smoking room at the front so we took that. It didn't smell of smoke at all, and it was a nice room with a small balcony. I would stay again.

what a pleasant surprise this was! this hotel is perfect, given the price we'd paid for 2 nights' stay. our double room was spacious, clean and modern, as was the bathroom. our street facing room offered plenty of light, but it was by no means noisy if you shut the door to the balcony. staff were attentive and helpful (on check-in, the girl at reception almost begged me to be careful about pickpockets). location-wise this was great too. just on the outskirt of what's considered central barcelona, it's about 10 minutes walk from la rambla, placa de catalunya and the old city. great if you want to stay away from the hustle bustle of the tourist areas. there is also a bus outside the hotel that can take you to parc guell. all every convenient

Helpfull frontdesk, central location and clean. Relatively poor facilities and limited food-beverage services only within the breakfast time. I would stay there again though.

We were given an internal room with one window that opened onto the lift area and no outside light whatsoever, a bit like being in a cave. It was incredibly noisy with the lift and people walking around and banging doors all night. The staff were helpful and the location very good. Whilst it is in walking distance of Las Ramblas we ended up taking the Metro a lot as it was very hot outside.

Hotel is in a very good location. Nice, modern and clean room. Didn't go to the bar or restaurant, so can't comment on them. Only snag was that the air conditioning in the room didn't work. The hotel provided a portable air conditioning unit, we didn't try to get the room changed so don't know if that would have been a possibility.

Ideally placed within 5 minute walk of Playa de Catalunya and the top end of the Ramblas. Also handy for the excellant Metro system. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel is modern and clean. Breakfast is comprehensive and regularly topped up with fresh bread, fruit, etc, though the hot buffet was always a bit tired by the time we got down to it!! Not cheap, but I doubt anywhere worth staying in that area would be.

Personel were very friendly. Location was good, not noisy in the night. The bed was a bit hard.

Terrific little hotel in a good location. Staff and Service was appauling, however the quality and value for money made up for it.

This hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of The Ramblas and other interesting tourist areas. I found the hotel to be clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was a good size by European standards with a nice bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms very modern and spacious. There is some noise disturbance in some rooms due to the bedroom windows looking into a central shaft way that amplifies noise. Suggest you ask for a room that faces the street. Overall I would recommend
