"Grand Balisani looks really beautiful. The pool area is lovely and it's a very rustic building with a lot of charm. Staff are very firendly and cannot do enough to help. It is in a little village so there are not many amenities nearby and the hotel only has one restaurant. You can walk along the beach to Ku De Ta the famous bar but other than that you need to take a taxi into Seminyak or Kuta. If you ask them to put their meter on it shouldn't cost much, certainly not to Seminyak so you can have the relaxation and seclusion of the hotel but still eat at nice places and shop. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus to Kuta but not a return service-you have to reserve in advance so not for people who like to do things on spec. I would stay in Seminyak next time to find a balance between vibrant Kuta and relaxation, or rather go to Lombok for true relaxation, but it is a lovely hotel." - Anonymous
"Stayed for 10 nights in ocean view room room recently updated very clean old Bali design. Great beach front location,good pool not suitable for children quite deep. a little far out of main area (ok if you have own transport)hotel facilities good, The cooking school a must,and bargain for 10 US Dollars.Breakfast O.K.Would stay again Small boutique hotel suited for couples and people wanting a peaceful holiday." - Steven Franklin
