Value for money.
somewhat old fashioned hotel - very popular with coach holiday firms, consequently very busy but the size of the hotel meant that it was not a problem. great value for money for a very well located hotel with great views in all directions. Just wish that they hadf an effective hotel fact sheet that gave upto date infomation of ongong activities.
A cold wet & stormy night in Winter isn't recommended to be in Folkestone, but the greeting & room was warm. Whilst a gale howled in the Channel the resident singer entertained the appreciative crowd. Although not my cup of tea, but that's not why I stayed here. The price & location was excellent, the room and food adequate, the staff friendly. All in all excellent value for money.
rooms ok for money, meals excellent value
A lovely hotel in a great location, with bedrooms overlooking the harbour and within easy walk of the town. Breakfast was good and plentiful, complementary papers were provided, the room was fine, would recommend without reservation
Hotel looking very tired and in need of modernisation. The night we stayed there were 3 private functions on and there were over 800 guests .Could not find a parking space anywhere and had to park offsite. Huge queues the next morning for breakfast - out into the lobby and no free tables.
Average Rooms but exceptional food made up for that
The Hotel Grand Burstin Folkestone was exceptional value, because we booked over the internet we did not realise until we arrived that you could upgrade to a better room, We upgraded for the meals and wished we had paid the extra money for the room. Next time we shall know. The service and food value was exceptional.
