Excellent location, outstanding service. Rooms are pretty small, we stayed in deluxe triple, but very clean. Bathroom is large. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Grand Hotel de la Minerva is a old hotel, so it might suit people looking for a feeling of the 'old' continent, but is far from the present standards of modern deluxe hotel. Service, cleanliness etc are to 4* level (except the breakfast, which is poor in choice & quality). Location is perfect as most places are within walking distance.
undoubtedly a quality hotel although very expensive. excellent food in the lovely rooftop restaurant. very friendly and attentive staff. however I felt that my room (a superior double) was small for over £200 a night.
only fault of hotel would be the pricing.i paid 300 euro per night in january which is quiet time.5 star its suppose to be but its more 4 to 4 half star but you should expect that in mainland europe.location is excellent close to everything.i would reccomend it.i suppose location is what you pay for.
Very grand and spacious hotel - we recieved great service from the receptionists and concierge were helpful. The room was 5 star as you expected it - very spacious and very high ceilings. It had a walk-in wardrobe and spa-bathtub. Toiletries were of a high standard. Our room looked out onto the back of the Pantheon which was a pretty amazing site to look at and the location is walking distance from tourist attractions such as Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the major shopping street in Rome. There is also a great Italian Restaurant nearby at the Piazza D'Ignazio which was awesome home- made italian style food at really reasonable prices - Bill Clinton ate here as well!
a little problems with checkout and voucher - and expensive breakfast not included - but a hotel with superb central location and old fashioned style
Great location, service very good. Especially Hotel personnel was competent, very helpful and always friendly.
It is as we were returning home every time
We had a wonderful experience here. The location is first rate, too. Don't forget to try the breakfast. It's memorable.
One disappointment was that we had picked the Hotel because of its beautiful roof garden and restaurant and this had not opened on time due to maintenance. The Hotel didn't seem to be bothered about this fact. Other than that, the location is fantastic and rooms and service very good. Perhaps a little bit pricey but then much of Rome is!
The location is the best in Rome which made up for the fact that the hotel room was good but nothing special. The price and the room didn't match. Overall the hotel was nice and good quality but half the price would have matched the room. In addition you had to pay heftly & separately for breakfast.
The service at this hotel is fantastic. Great attention to detail and staff speaks just about every language! This location is the best in Rome. It is a beautiful setting as well, and in the warmer weather, the Roof Restaurant is not to be missed.
This hotel is pure class, and at the same time, pure comfort and hospitality. This is THE place to stay in Rome if you want to go first class.
The staff was very helpful, the rooms large and well appointed. Location was appx 15 minutes from train station in busy area but directly adjacent to the Patheon.
We've been around there for more than thirty years and now we felt: this may be our hotel of ours in Rome!
This hotel is excellent. It is ideally situated next to the Pantheon and several small Piazza's with a number of very reasonably priced restaurants and bars close by. It is also within easy walking distance of Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpfull. If my wife and I go back to Rome we would certainly choose to stay at the Grand Hotel de la Minerve again.
It is a perfect hotel like expected. It's the only 5 star hotel in the real center. In five minutes (3 to 10 euro) with a cab you are at all the famous places. You can walk too. It's not far - 10 to 15 minutes to the Trevy fountain, Spanish steps
This hotel was wonderful. The location is excellent, rooms charming, staff gracious and helpful. I give it my highest recommendation.
Excellent luxury hotel in a perfect location in the heart of Rome.
