Grand Duomo Hotel Pisa

Location was very good and service excellent.

This hotel is in a wonderful location close to the main tourist attraction - the Leaning Tower. We also walked around the central area of Pisa easily taking in the sights. The people on reception were friendly and helpful and a suitable breakfast was included in the tariff. I would be very happy to return there.

The room would need some more maintenance as most of Italian hotels, however the staff has been most friendly and helpful. The location is great. Interned not expensive €3 for 5 h (charged by minutes of connection unlike in one piece as Holiday In or Ramada). heating by air-conditioning very good. Good size bathroom. Good continental buffet breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay

Absolutely perfect location - able to see the Leaning Tower from our room. Very clean athough no fridge in room. Will recommend to anyone visiting Pisa

There are views of the leaning tower from your window, and it is only a minute or two walk to the Piazza di Miracoli. This hotel is in the heart of the tourist area and offers a good place to stay. It is not far to the riverside and the other attractions of Pisa, so I would stay here again.

As in every experience had with Italian bookings through [your website], the room and facilities were impeccably clean and decorated lovely. We'd most definitely stay here again and again.

A little past its best but still of a good standard. Plenty of choice for buffet breakfast, comfortable room though a little noisy from aircon units running all night in the 20+ degree night temperatures. Brilliant location a stone's throw from the tower and main attractions and a few minutes walk from the bus stop where frequent fast buses serve rail station and airport (red line, 1 euro each way using tickets bought e.g. from kiosk in station)

top location, three min walk to the leaning tower. good value but be warned the rooms feel quite old. however, they were quite clean. breakfast was good.

Fantastic hotel - lovely rooms, very clean and an incredible location, literally 2 mins walk to the Leaning Tower (which we could see from our bedroom window). Good breakfast and very helpful staff. The only negative was noise, both from within and outside the hotel, but it had subsided by about midnight. Worth taking some earplugs though

A little expensive for the price you pay, staff very kind... the hotel is very old and needs to renew almost everything. Very good location. Average breakfast.

Reception at all times very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. The bar is a pleasant place to start and end the evening, in particular the bar steward 'Roberto' is very helpful, knowledgeable and knows all the good restaurants in Pisa. Certainly would go back again.

Great location close to the Field of Dreams (Leaning tower etc). Very good buffet breakfast, and helpful service from all the staff. The decor is getting rather dowdy and dated. The only internet access was from an expensive terminal in the lobby, which is rather behind the times for a 4 star hotel - no free wifi.

The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel. this is definately not the case. I feel that 2 or 3 star is more appropriate. The hotel gives the aura of faded splendour. It is a little sad and needs updating. If the star rating was adjusted it would be a far better representation of the hotel and the traveller would not be dissapointed during a stay.

Interior is very dated, but clean and tidy ... acceptable for a short stay, but look for something more modern if staying for longer. Very close to the leaning tower and reception staff speak sufficient English.

Terrific location.

Key reason why one would want to stay in this hotel is the superb location. It's just a couple of mins walk from the hotel to the leaning Pisa. Breakfast served is moderate. Room is old and tired looking. Beds are not as good to sleep on cos it sinks in when you lie on it. A good choice for a one-night stay in the city, though the price could have been made more reasonable.

Apart from a few tired and therefore dirty looking carpets in the bedrooms, this hotel was value for money, based on knowledge of other hotels in the area. PISA itself has a unique culture, for which the Siesta mentallity seems to extend everywhere and for which the hotel could do more i.e. advertise the rooftop area which gives a great view of the main attractions but without the queues and the cost!

The hotel is in need of refurbishment and you should not expect a nice fresh smell anywhere inside. The location is nice - next to the Leaning Tower but not too close to the downtown restaurant/bar scene. What frustrated me most was that I could not get an iron from them. I asked for it probably 3 or even 4 times, and was always told that now it is at some other guest but I will get it tomorrow. That tomorrow never came.
