All rooms in the Grand Hotel dei Dogi offer silence and tranquillity in the atmosphere of 18th-century Venice.
Many of the other rooms overlook the spreading, centuries-old gardens, the plants and trees of which are under the care of the ancient Botanical Institute of Padua. All guest rooms have oversized bathrooms with marble sinks, glistening tubs, terrycloth robes and slippers. Each room has every modern convenience including air conditioning, minibar, hairdryer, safe and satellite television.

"The staff cannot be faulted at any level. All in all, I was very impressed with hotel. There were just three little things that I thought should have been de riguer for a five star hotel. Firstly, there was no ice in the minibar. Secondly, a very meagre selection of drinks and finally, no bath robes, which are suposed to be standard for the delux rooms.(But it certainly didn't spoil our stay and I would highly recommend it!)" - Anonymous

"I’ve always had excellent service but this time it was beyond brilliant so maybe Boscolo has read the negative reviews and they’re bending over backwards. This is a sumptuous 17th century palace with an intimate feel and a long garden of century-old trees, gravel paths, rose pergolas and a covered jetty to watch sunset over the lagoon. The staff are efficient, attentive and kind. The hotel is not next to St Marks’s but neither is it a backwater. You’re 10 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. Or jump on the free hotel launch. The area is quiet and picturesque, with the feel of a fishing village Arrival is simple: Orange line to Orto and you’re 4 mins walk from the hotel. But it’s fiddly, so download a map first. I’ve always had a perfect room. But if you book for autumn/spring and they’re full and it would kill you not to have a huge room, go elsewhere. Though in my experience you’ll have that problem everywhere. This is paradise. And if beauty isn’t your thing, why go to Venice?" - Anonymous

Dei Dogi, A Boscolo Luxury Hotel is located in a secluded corner of Venice, in an exclusive spot overlooking the Lagoon and close to Rialto; it is regarded as one of the most spectacular Venice hotels. The magical secret garden hidden behind tall brick walls is the perfect retreat and has offered respite in the past for nuns and kings alike. Within 13 kilometres from Venice Airport, the Hotel Dei Dogi is within easy walking distance of all the important sights of Venice including St Mark's Square, which is only 15 minutes away. The hotel location is extremely peaceful, and your sleep will not be disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the city. If you would like to go to St Mark's, you can hop onto one of the complimentary shuttle boats leaving from the hotel. There are also boats close by going to Murano, Burano, Torcello and other islands on the lagoon.
The unique Venetian style has been recreated and the accommodation offered includes marble terrazzo floors, vaulted and frescoed ceilings, gilded picture frames, faux marble mantles, Murano glass chandeliers and intricately painted furniture covered in priceless silks. It looks much as it did when it housed the French embassy in the 1700s.
Extending the full width of the hotel, the Great Hall is a remarkable gallery looking out over the water, facing the lagoon and Murano Island, and makes a fantastic venue for meetings and conferences.

The most convenient way to get to the Hotel Dei Dogi from Venice Marco Polo Airport is by water taxi, which will take you direct to the hotel (the price is about 75/80 euros). Alternatively, you can take the ATVO blue bus as far as Venice Piazzale Roma, then vaporetto boat lines 42 or 52, alighting at Orto.
From the railway station, you can reach the hotel by water taxi or by vaporetto, lines 42 or 52.
If you arrive by car, you will need to park it in Piazzale Roma at Garage San Marco, then you can take a water taxi to the hotel, or vaporetto, lines 42 or 52, alighting at Orto.
