For the price I cannot complain. Breakfast was great, all the usual things. Staff were courteous, room was small but clean. Try for a room at back, I believe rooms on front would be noisy. Right across road from station.
We have stayed in the Grand twice now, good location for buses, trains and the centre of Brno only a few minutes walk. We would happily stay here again
Excellent location close to the railway station, with easy parking outside if you need it, and only a very short distance from the centre and a wide variety of restaurtants. We booked two rooms, and they exceeded our expectations as both turned out to be suites. Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also very good, with a range of hot and cold dishes.
The hotel is strategically located. The BRNO main railway station and the downtown area arejust a few minutes walk from the hotel. With many eateries around the hotel and the pleasent environment of the downtown area , this hotel an ideal choice for tourists and business people alike. Although internet facility is free from the lobby computer , free wi-fi in rooms will be a great bonus !
I couldn't fault the place. I wass made very welcome at Reception. The room was excellent as was the breakfast. The [website] deal was the best available and was excellent value for this hotel.
a nice place to stay, good breakfast, nice people in the restaurant
Very good experience, right in the center but quiet and very pleasant with very reasonable price.
Bar prices too high. very expensive to use internet, otherwise good value
Centrally located, this historic hotel offers a lot of value. I stayed in a very comfortable single room. The service was prompt and courteous. Quality of in room dining is a bit salty, I find that is the case every where I went to eat in the Czech Repub. There is a ok breakfast buffet whch includes a selection of cereals, fruits, salads, smoked fish, different kinds of eggs, sausage, bacon and fruit juices. Internet was charged at 100 Ck/hr or 250ck/24 hr. Ideally located just 1 minute walk from the main train station where you can catch a train to Prague or Vienna.
This is my second stay. I find the hotel very efficient, centrally located. The staff is courteous and polite and very helpful. It's the place to stay when in Brno. Right in the center, in front of the main rail and bus stations. My first room was not that nice, but I hear that renovations are underway. My second room is much, much nicer. Very comfortable bed. Soft linens and pillow, clean bathrooms. Condusive to rest. Request quiet room if street noise bothers you as the Hotel is in the center, if not then the noise adds to your journey experience. Breakfast is simple, not extravagant, but that's the way I like it. I don't like grand display of food. Choices are adequate and the atmosphere is very pleasant. There's a casino too, but I haven't visited it and a fitness area. Will recommend this place to anyone staying in Brno.
I had two clients staying in the hotel and they were very impressed with the location and standard of the hotel, though the internet and bar prices were not in keeping with the local bars and clubs. I would suggest buying a cheaper drink in a nice local whilst surfing free wifi.
Friendly staff, excellent location, pillows a bit uncomfortable but generally good value for money.
Nice big room and few steps from the train station
The room was very well presented, and breakfast was fine. The hotel is centrally located and ideal for getting around on foot, however this means that parking is at a premium in terms of availability and price. The hotel is directly opposite the main railway and tram stations, which means it is noisy outside throughout the night, so don't stay here if you need total peace and quiet. Otherwise, I would heartily recommend the hotel, particularly considering the excellent prices.
We enjoyed our brief visit to Brno and the Grand Hotel is ideally located for visiting the historical sights and restaurants
We found the staff very efficient and helpful. Excellent breakfast.
It's right accross the Centro Train Station Brno, noize even on high floor, Hotel have a Caisno of it's own, Grand Caisno, I'll say it's one of the best hotel in the region. some what Recommended if you have chosen to stay in Brno
Location very convenient but surrounding area a bit grubby. Very nice hotel. Our bedroom was very spatious and very clean. We had lots of space and air conditioning. The Breakfast was very good.
We found that this hotel is a lot better than we expected, based on other comments posted. Curiously, the only failing we found was that a few tablecloths were not changed between users at breakfast, as dirty tablecloths was one of the complaints posted by others. Otherwise, this hotel is exceptionally clean, and there is really no big noise problem unless you open the window (which is not necessary with AC in the room.)
Good location, when arriving by train or with CSA bus from Prague, close to the old town by just a short walk. Good breakfast (different hams, cheeses, cakes, etc.). Room looked a bit old and tired. TV was of very strange placement.
