Grand Hotel & Casino Vanuatu

This hotel seems to be one of the tallest in Pt Vila. Situated close to shops, transport and attractions it was a perfect base for us. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the chap who organises tours and transfers. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've had, and the sheets and pillows were good quality. They serve a continental breakfast in the restaurant that was included in the cost of the room. Although the meats and cheeses were a little boring, the pastries and coffee were delicious. We had full free use of the kayaks and other gear at Iririki. Also had wifi internet and the usual satellite tv. The air conditioning was a godsend and worked really well. Pool had a good view of the harbour.

Only complaint is that the in-room movie charges are well over the top (nearly AU$18 for one!). If you charged less, more people would buy more!

Good, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The hotel itself is certainly showing signs of age though. Paint peeling, stained carpets etc...

Fantastic place, location and staff. Absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed our breakfasts and the staff literally wait on you hand and foot and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Iririki connection is an added bonus and that we could walk everywhere was great as well. Definenately planning to go back. Patsy Poeppmann

Very good value as you get to use all the facilities of the Irriki resort. Staff is very helpfull.

Myself and my husband stayed here recently for 5 nights and we loved it. Fraser at reception is very helpful and will organise any trips you'd like to do. A major plus is this hotel has an arangement with Irriki Island which is located 2min across the water in a taxi boat (free) you can snorkel and kayak at no addtional cost. You can also eat their and charge it back to your room very nice food. We loved the continental breakfast here it is one of the best I've had with a wide varity of options for all. The hotel is located on the main street and there are plenty of shops in walking distance.

The hotel was really nice in that it was modern and sparkly clean. The location was also good in that it was close so close to town. The prices of food and drinks were a little on the expensive side. I would recommend this hotel as a good stop over at the start or end of your holiday.

Front reception staff were very attentive, as were all staff. Food was excellent. The only down side, was that they are doing building works ... casino ... so it was a little noisy laying by the pool .. luckily Irriki is just a boat ride away.
