Getting there:Two minutes walk from Visitor Information Centre. Taxis at rear of complex, ten minutes drive from Rotorua Airport. The Hotel is just off Fenton Street which is one of the main arterial streets entering the City.
Check-in Procedure:Check in from 2.00pm to 9.00pm. Check out by 10.00am. Late arrivals or departures must be by prior arrangement. Reception open from 8.00am to 9.00pm - Express Checkout available outside reception hours. Check in via the Hotel Reception situated on Pukuatua Street. Entrance to the car park is via Pukuatua Street.
Car parking:FREE guest parking.
Child Policy:Children are welcome. Extra child to the age of 12 is charged at $10. Cot and highchair are available free of charge however a linen charge of $10 is applicable.
Had a good weekend with grandchildren. Bed very comfortable; only milk for 1 drink in fridge; cobwebs around light in bathroom. Continental breakfast was very nice
The hotel was everything I expected and they met all the usual requirements of cleanliness and service that would be expected. The exterior of the hotel is not pretty; but I don't look at the architecture while inside the room. The staff were friendly and helpful and I have had good value for money. I would definitely stay again. - Thank you.

Two adjacent Premier rooms with interconnecting doors. Both rooms have their own facilities, colour TV, telephone, broadband internet access, tea & coffee facilities and refrigerator. Suitable for families. Bedding configuration is 1 Queen & 1 Single bed in one room and 2 x Single beds in the other. An extra bed can be provided in these rooms.
we really enjoyed our stay
The hotel is in a great location, the food at the kiwi ale house was the best meal we had in nz. The staff were lovely. Very happy with our stay there!
I don't understand how such an ordinary place can call itself Grand Hotel. It's perfectly alright (I had a refurbished room) if you don't expect anything 'grand'.

We were looking for last minute affordable accommodation. The Grand offered way more than we expected for the price. Great service at reception, it is so central with a restaurant and bar right under the same building both of which we used so we didn't have to drive anywhere. It was great!!
The Hotel is old and could do with an upgrade. The room was a premium room but was very basic so would hate to have stayed in anything less. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Did not have teabags at breakfast. Probably would not stay there again
The budget room we were in, though very affordable, is not suitable for long stay.
Great location just 5 mins away from i-site office. Friendly staff. Clean room. Meets basic requirements. Toilet has permanent stains though.
A slightly odd layout of hotel - more like a motel with big emphasis on the car park, but surprisingly spacious clean and quiet rooms, nicely fitted out, and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed our stay.
Excellent helpful reception team. Great complimentary breakfast. Location was brilliant. Bathroom rather cramped but would definitely stay there again.
Very friendly staff. Good central location. My room was a bit noisy until around midnight, but it was a Friday. Basic room is basic but clean. It suited my needs. Complementary continental breakfast was well received.
I loved being given all information that I required so fast and efficient.
It was quite noisy, with inside and outside noise. It was a budget room, for the price it was just what i needed for 1 night. Other than that it was a good stay and as a travelling person, would recommend.
There was very poor air ventilation in the room and very suffocating without the fan on a hot night. The room photos do not show that the wash basin is just opposite the bed in some of the rooms.
The basic room was clean and tidy but decor was plain/dated. The deluxe room was a lot more spacious and comfortable and facilities were a lot nicer.

Great people and location
Although overall, the room for it's price was good but could of done with a clean it obviously hadn't been used for a while. Cobwebs and dead bugs on ceiling. But like i said rest of room was good, bathroom was very clean and a new bed would stay again
