Grand Istana Rama Hotel Kuta

Can't get better value for money. Staff were very friendly, facilities are old but well-maintained and clean. Will definitely stay at the Istana Rama again.

Only stayed 1 night but it was not my first stay here. It is an ideal location for those who are first time visitors to Bali and Kuta. Right on the beach but far enough back that you cant hear the traffic. A great pool area next to the hotels resto accross the road from the beach where you can watch the sunset. Food is good quality and reasonable price. Room facilities are basic but comfortable. I would recommend and stay again.

Nice room and friendly staff but the pool area was not a pleasant place to be. No shade, large expanses of heat radiating concrete and warm water. Also, the cleaning staff overuse an air freshener that lasts all day (and night) so you end up with a sickly sweet smell in the room full time (you need to leave the door open until you can't live with the heat)

Excellent location, right on Kuta Beach Road, with the Kuta nightlife about 10-15 minute walk away. The rooms are decent and clean. The service quality is good by Indonesian standards, but please remember English isn't their first language so it pays to speak as simply as possible. The staff were very helpful as they arranged for taxis at anytime and offered very competitively priced tours around the island. The food was mediocre at best, but then you're wasting your holiday if you're going to eat in the hotel. In terms of facilities, the swimming pool area is great and you get the sun all day long. The pool itself is strange as there are walls underwater that can cause accidents if you aren't careful. Overall, the hotel was definitely well worth the price I paid with [website]. I found [website]'s price to be the lowest on the internet and their speed of execution was awesome - I got my booking confirmed within 3 hours and there were no problems at check in at the hotel.

A recommended hotel, nice and friendly service, breakfast is excellent. Location is just in front of beach, only the traffic to come to the hotel was terrific, no wonder it is a favorit location in Bali.

same problem in most of the hotels there is the mosquitoes but there is a vape machine in every room, so make sure to use it!, the breakfast is a nightmare tried it once and never did it again, the workers there are very friendly and will always meet you with a smile & salute u and will always help, the shower is not that clean because its an old hotel and the water is very weak (no pressure in the shower). its mostly a dark place no enough lights in the rooms or the lobby, i guess some people likes it this way... but in the end i think it was a safe place, and the people there made me like my stay there.... but I liked [other hotel] much more if the price is close.

The hotel was in an excellent location .I will recommend this hotel to anyone . The dinner menu was not up to standard .However there are lots of restaurants within walking distance .

Good location on beach, staff great, traffic and general Kuta noise can be heard at pool area. Garden room had great bathroom.
