CORSO DEL POPOLO, 81 35131 PADOVA
At the heart of Padua, on the corner between the Railway Station Square and the main town street in a panoramic position, there stands the Hotel Grand'Italia, certified by regional Law as ‘historic home’ by the Veneto region. It was build in 1909 as Folchi Palace on a project by architect Miozzo, and offers an admirable and innovative example of Art Nouveau. Your eye catches it in an impressive corner perspective animated by terraces, verandas and balconies enriched by flower decorations of wrought iron and gentle stone figures. The scrupulous restoration of the building, fostered by Family Cinel, brought it back to its past splendour fully recovering the style and the rooms of the original project. Each room has its own bar, satellite TV, telephone with answering machine, internet and other accessories to offer the best comfort to our guest.

Avara, siisti hotelli. Isot huoneet. Mutta ilmastointi ei pelaa ja huoneisiin ( huoneeseen ) tulee meteliä ulkoa sekä joistakin ilmastointikoneista niin että kesällä nukkuminen erittäin huonoa. Aseman alue levotonta.
The hotel is close to the station and makes an excellent base for going on to Venice. Hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. Good rooms with a substantial breakfast.
perfectly soundproof and with indipendent air-conditioning, with wooden floor
The top floor rooms are huge, and the hotel has good facilities and heritage furnishings in the public areas. The best thing about it is its location directly across from the main railway station. The lifts can be a little slow.
single beds way too small.
The Hotel is across the road from the rail station ( did not hear a train !), as we traveled to Vicenza, Soave and Villas it was the place to be. Less than one hour by bus from airport. We went to Venice the day we left. Great, and I will stay here again
This hotel is located across the street from the railway station and is about 20 minutes walk to the main square. There is parking in a garage beside the hotel. If arriving by car make sure you have a sat nav system because the traffic restrictions, one way streets and trams make it really really difficult to get into the correct street. We spent 20 anxious minutes before we gave up and a very friendly person, with her dog, hopped into the car and directed us for which we were very grateful. Take the train or make sure of the sat nav.
free upgrade great location
Good service, too warm in the hallways, need a "safe parking" for bicycles
Great Hotel near train station and major pedestrian walking area. Beautiful rooms and a great breakfast! Would stay again!
We were very pleased with this hotel... It was very convinently situated by the Padova station... the staff were very friendly and the room very clean and well maintained. The historic centre of Padova was about 15 minutes walk.. The only down side was that being almost oposite the station there were quite a few immigrants arround the back streets of it making us feel a bit insecure at night although nobody bothered us at all.
