Grand Mercure Apartments Allegra Hervey Bay

If you want to feel like you’re on a penultimate holiday & you want quiet and chill out time in private then this is your place you can lose yourself in the lush surroundings, sauna, gym... you’re one skip away from the beach & 5km walk up to the wharf which was magical along the beach seeing the solider crabs coming out & watching a spectacular sunset & sunrise with all the dragonflies hammering around, you can come back and lounge around the pool the water was gorgeous, the feel of the apartment is like you’re the only one there very spacious, clean and magical, the security is great, you have a wonderful restaurant opposite the pool everything is there to carter to your needs and wants, the host at the reception are extremely friendly and helpful. You’re 5-10km away from the local shops. It’s 10 out of 10

Travelling in business or for leisure it doesn't matter Allegra is a hotel you will remember. We and our kids loved it!

Very elegant, clean and spacious apartment. Suitable more for families as I felt lost in the huge apartment. 20 minute walk to have breakfast at Torquay (the nearest block of cafes). Their restaurant will open in September,2010. Huge swimming pool and right across from Shelly Beach. Would recommend for families or couples wanting a quiet nightlife.

Super room with a high quality feel

The apartments are modern, bright and well appointed and reception staff are friendly and eager to help. The pool is huge and its surrounds well furnished,both of which are important given that the beach across the road is extremely tidal. The only negatives are noise related: - all ground floor units have an outside spa, from which when in use voices carry loudly to the levels above, plus - footsteps noise through the ceiling from the unit above ours was very audible when anyone above was in residence. We found we had to run the airconditioning much of the time to drown out these noises.

The whole apartment was well designed with an open plan feel. It was brand new with luxury fittings and fixtures. It was fully furnished to cater for a weekend stay or a longer period of time. The complex is part of the Accor hotel group offering secure underground parking, gym facilities though very basic.There was a swimming pool available with a feature waterfall reminiscent of those in the gardens of Babylon. Overrall my wife and I found it to be very relaxing and good value for money and would definitely organise a return visit.

beautiful well designed apartment when booking would be good to know it had a spa bath and that it didnt have a sea view we presumed that the price would of been for a seaview and in future we would ask would of liked room servicing daily and a decent size bottle of milk on arrival resturant was not opened either but we really enjoyed our stay and would return again

View from some apartments would be better than others. We were disapointed to not have a better view. Approx 2 km walk to the marina --about the same to the main shopping area. Apartment very comfortable & well equipped.
