Hotel could do with some maintenance. Room overlooked dining area which is bad for a sleep in, far to noisy. Television reception was very bad. Asked for this to be looked at which did not happen. Room was spacious with nice furniture and very clean. Would try somewhere different next time.
The room was very clean although the bathroom was a little small. The staff were very helpful and the location is good being a short walk to nearby restaurants and Salamanca square. It was a little disconcerting to discover that the bed was not level nor the rest of the furniture, but this is part of the old world charm of the hotel which retains its original character.
The lovely, heritage style Standard Room features a comfortable double bed or 2 single beds, as well as boutique Victorian style furniture and the convenience of wireless broadband internet access. Sleeps up to 2 adults.
Larger in size, the Heritage Executive Room is ideal for business executives and those who enjoy the little extras in their hotel room. It features a work desk, leather armchairs, coffee table and WiFi access. Sleeps up to 2 adults.
Live it up in an extravagant Heritage Suite! Large and spacious, it features a separate bedroom complete with a lounge and spa bath, plus a TV and DVD player in both the bedroom and lounge area. Sleeps up to 2 adults and 1 child.
Even though this is a very old hotel the service and location make it a great place to stay when visiting Hobart
Recomended to everyone. The rustic feel and the services of all sections is highly commened. The resterant 1834 is a must to anyone staying.
Lovely 'olde world' atmosphere. Room was quite a good size and comfortable. Can be a little noisy at times if window faces street (pub next door) or overlooks the breakfast atrium (setting up). Obliging service.
This was a great old hotel. Its history was especially interesting. The location was excellent.
The bed in our room was incredibly uncomfortable, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
rooms a bit small, dining facilities very good
There is no Hotel parking you have to park around the corner and thats an extra cost, Its is also very noisy, you can hear all the noise from the street
The hotel was great, but the street noise from cars and a night club, which was open until about 3 or 4am, were a disaster.
Great location and beautiful old hotel. On the expensive side for what you get. Room size was generous
This hotel is in a great location and is within a very easy walk to the city centre and shopping and consitution dock and salamanca. The hotel is old and full of old charm. Rooms clean with nice decor. Bathroom a bit on the dated side but no drama. Would stay here again purely for location and convenience. A solid 8/10 from me for this one.
Small rooms, windows with no view!
Excellent location, easy to get around. But the room is small and noisy.
found this hotel very average.
This was a lovely hotel and in a great location about 10-15 minutes walk from Salamanca area. Unfortunately it let itself down by charging $25 for breakfast and similarly inflated rates for evening meals. I would only recommend staying here if you don't mind walking to a cafe or restaurant for food.
Friendly staff
This hotel is in a convenient situation, the food was excellent, the rooms stylish, the service was great, wouldn't hesitate to stay again or tell our friends. All the information can be found there, to visit the beautiful North West Coast as well!
Nice Hotel placed close to markets and CBD. Very nice setting for restaurant. Rooms are quaint but small.
I have stayed at Hadley's a number of times over the past 10 years and really enjoy the facilities, it's closeness to Salamanca and the cosy atmosphere of foyer sitting area and bar.
