Just spent 8 nights in 2 bed apartment which was spacious, modern, very comfortable and clean. The view from our balcony across to the snow capped mountains was amazing! The restuarant was great value (using our Accor card) and good quality. We ordered Room Sevice one night which was great. Also cooked in the apartment a few nights. The whole family enjoyed the heated pools and hot tubs. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Loved the open fires in reception/bar and restaurant. A small intimate hotel. Would highly recommend Oakridge.
We had a lovely stay, Thank you. I would just say that they could do with a bit more lighting around the grounds as it was a little hard too see our way in places. The outside lighting above room doors wasn't working either. Thank you Have a lovely day.
Room was good, not huge but comfortable. Breakfast very average. Easy to get to just on edge of town. Wanaka is V. nice - We'll be back
We were offered an upgrade at a very reasonable rate which we took. This hotel was the high-light of our trip to New Zealnd if we had not have been on a pre-booked trip we could have stayed here for a few days. The complex has lovely hot pools to sit and relax in as well. Absolutely Great
Wonderful place with well thought out facilities
A standard Mercure/Accord hotel- ie, comfortable and pleasant.
Lovely, you'll see us back again!
Although our room was small it was modern, clean and adequate for an overnight stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the spa's and pools and the restaurant was great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room, with a small balcony was delightful and we took advantage of the pool and hot tub after our strenuous walk. But we would not have chosen this hotel if we hadn't a car.
The hotel is in quite area of wanaka, which is around three kilometer far from the town.....Its is rated a four star hotel but does not have the facility for foreign exchange....The hot swimming pools are good and even the massage facility is excellent. The rooms are big and having the whole facility of kitchen.
Location is on the outskirts of town. Facilities were very good but over priced.
Have a lovely relaxing stay at this complex, was a nice distance from town and the facilities there are amazing. Lovely treatment at their dayspa and throughly enjoyed the pools. Only downside was the person with the chainsaw outside our bedroom window for 3 hours cutting one of the hotels trees down not quite so peaceful.
Fantastic. Would highly recommend. Greta service, rooms and value for money
The apartment was clean and beautifully appointed and the 180 degree views of the mountains were amazing.
This hotel is quite a way out of Wanaka township and not too easy to find as it is not on any of the local maps. Their website could not handle booking a room with a king size bed and a room with 2 single beds. The rooms we had were all upstairs as was their restaurant which were a bit of a struggle for my elderly mother. We had virtually the same menu there as was at Ashleys Hotel in Greymouth and having thoroughly enjoyed some dishes there decided to have them again only to be disappointed at the difference. They were also quite expensive compared to other hotels we stayed at in the South Island
Great property. Had a little Arizona or SantaFe feel to it, with lots of gardens and layout. Has a great pool and bar areas. Rooms were very modern and comfortable.
Be warned - the only difference between a "premium" and a "standard" room is that the "premium" rooms are on the upper floor. They are beautifully appointed, but with views of other rooms and no room to swing a cat. Thankfully, we upgraded to a one bedroom apartment, which had great facililities, including laundry and kitchen, as well as mountain views. The only way to get views is to book an apartment. Note that this is a little walk (2km) out of town.
Outstanding and friendly staff services. Good value for the money. It's better to have a car otherwise it is a bit far away from the town centre. Only minus point would be the room without air-conditioning apart from the heater but you may request a electric fan if needed.
We only stayed in Wanaka for 1 night, however, I would gladly stay longer at the Grand Mercure Oakridge. Beautiful, comfortable rooms, set on a quiet part of town, a little bit further out, not within walking distance to the main street being the only downside. otherwise, great hotel, and awesome staff. Highly recommended
Incredible place to stay, although I missed out on the spas as they closed at 9pm instead of the usual time 10pm just for that night & I was not informed on arrival however a very enjoyable experience overall and amazing views, staff very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again
