Grand Metropole Blackpool Town Centre Hotel Guest Reviews

3.2 out of 5

My family and i were given rooms facing the Nellie Deans & Sanuk Clubs, you can hopefully imagine our shock that one of the clubs did not close until 4.30am, and then for another 30mins after it became a taxi rank right outside our windows, so we were not getting asleep until after 5pm. When we should of been out enjoying Blackpool we were catching up on our sleeep. It is certainly the worst experience Ihave had in a Grand Hotel and it has put us of coming to one again

4.4 out of 5

Dinner was only seved until 7.45pm which we felt was too early to close. Food was buffet style with no a la carte which was disappointing. Still has an aura of Billy Butlin about the dining arrangements - lots of room for improvement here.

I had a great weekend at the Metropole Hotel, all the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The meals were great, choices where limited to three main meals but that was ok as the quality and choice was excellent, full English was provided with the choice of those health alternatives of cearel, fruit and yogurts. The room was spacious and clean although a bit tired. Looking around you could see refurbishment taking place (which did not affect are stay). Didn't see the entertainment as we where out visiting the sights of Blackpool and we had booked a show at the Winter Gardens (great night out). The hotel was well situated, on the sea front with lovely views, seating area outside or you could view the scenery from conservatory. Yes I would return to this relaxing hotel, within a stones throw of the hustle and bustle of Blackpool life.

Provided adequate accommodation in a good central position. Meals served in buffet style were very good, plentiful and tasty. Hotel itself would benefit from some TLC in the decor department a bit of refurbishment would restore to its former glory.
