"This was our first stay at Grand Park City Hall. It was very close to MRT. Clarke Quay was an easy five minute walk. Around the hotel there are plenty of places to eat out. The buffet breakfast was good, but we found that breakfast in "The Deli" at the hotel was a cheaper option, if you did not want a full buffet breakfast. The concierges were terrific and the hotel staff friendly. The room was comfortable, except that the shower was over a very deep bath, which mature husband had difficulty getting in and out of. "On arrival we were offered the S$70 per day special for our 6 day 2 person stay (breakfast, internet & laundry) as regular visitors to Singapore we said No. There are plenty of eateries & internet access within a 3 to 5 minute walk where breakfast prices start at S$3.00. No open windows in room everything airconditioned this means your socks/jocks wont dry. Pool area is excellent for chilling out. Very handy to Clarks Quay for nightlife, MRT, hop on off bus. Sitting on the corner of Coleman Street and Hill Street, Grand Park City Hall is approximately 25 minutes taxi ride away from the Singapore Changi International Airport. Using the Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) from the airport, taking the East-West line, is approximately 40 minutes to arrive at City Hall MRT Station. From the Malayan Railway Station, it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the hotel by taxi. For those travelling by car from Malaysia, using the 2nd Link Causeway, travelling via Ayer Rajah Expressway city-bound, exit at Merchant Road, turn left to Hill Street, will take approximately 45 minutes. |
