The rooms were nice and large with all of the expected comforts. There was in room Internet, but wifi was only available from the lobby. The pool was drained, but it was probably too cold of weather anyway.
The rooms are reasonable in size and in terms of facilities. The service and the staff are both quite good. One thing we wish we have known was that the wait for a taxi at the airport is very long because there are not enough taxi cabs. We end up having to call the hotel to send a taxi to pick us up. The cost is high (RMB$250) but worth it if you arrange with the hotel before hand so that the driver will meet you at arrival . Otherwise be prepared to wait for 2 hours or more!
Superior room for single / double occupancy
Good hotel with excellent facilities and efficient and friendly staff. Good location and great place to be with your family ,if you are visiting Kunming. Hotel management has personal touch with the guests and makes you feel at Home.
Great Location, very close to the lake. Breakfast was OK. Don't leave it too late to eat dinner as most restaurants close early.
Lovely soft beds
A great hotel, but take the taxi RMB25 from airport- it is cheaper than car service that hotel can organise for you RMB150. Great beds - not the hard Chinese type.
Very nice hotel with spotless and spacious rooms and a very good buffet breakfast - great for those who like their coffee with western-style food in the morning. Helpful English-speaking staff who can arrange transport to Shilin and other places to see around Kunming. Unbeatable price for this standard and level of service in China. Very well located, many restaurants of various kinds at walking distance, next to a large and pleasant park where old Yunnanese sing, play Mah-Jong or exercise. The only negative point is the swimming pool, which doesn't get enough direct sunlight, and is consequently freezing cold (I was there early October and couldn't use the pool despite a very warm weather in Kunming). I highly recommend this hotel to those travelling with children and/or who like efficient service and care about hygiene.
