"Hotelroom booked was not available. Got a spare (?) room: no working hairdryer, no working curtains (could only be seen after closing them), toilet in the shower, no towels (should be brought later, but never came) and no remote control for the satellite set-topbox. After that, transfer to a satisfactory room (as booked and paid for), but with no satisfactory compensation.

Great location.Somewhat nosy as cleaning service works night shift outside hotel.Close to all public service and eateries.Also shuttle service to the airport is handy.

"The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful. Really enjoyed my stay there. (You will need to take your own iron and adaptor.) Location close to most sites and tram station. "We were quite disappointed that the way the room was advertised (and which therefore influenced our decision to book) did not match up to reality. The following, which were advertised as being a part of room, were not provided: sea views, mini bar, hairdrier, aircon, and cable/sat tv (at least not judging by the poor reception). Even more surprising was the toilet inside the shower cubicle! This was a nuisance as well as not very hygienic. We were told this had to do with the side of the building we were on (ie. the historic side). At night, the lighting in the room was extremely dark as there was only one wall mounted fixture. The room was on the small side. The toilet had a weak flush and there were mouldy patches at the base of the shower door. Our feedback is that it is important for management to be honest about ALL the rooms' facilities. Reception staff, on the other hand, were friendly, helpful and polite. Despite the good price, we are not likely to visit this hotel again." - Anonymous

Our hotel is located in an old inn, near the old city wall, on the historical peninsula Eminn. Our hotel building is 107 years old. Our hotel restoration took 3 years. t is decorated with handy-crafts, engravings,forged iron, paintings, glassware, etc, which are reflecting Ottoman naval force history and different periods of Turkey's history.Your home in stanbul is built in the style of a manor and it has three storeys; 22 rooms (2 of them are suits) and 45 people can accommodate in our hotel. From each floor which are accessible by lifts and rooms, you can see very impressive naturel scenery of the Bosphorous, Galata Tower, Dolmabahe Palace, and Topkap Palace.unfortunately Barbaros could never use the name of ''Grand Seigneur' because in Ottoman Empire, only the Sultan could be named as Seigneur, ''Great'' or ''Grand''. The Sultan of the time was Sleyman the Magnificent.Our Special Class Hotel is like a colorful page from different ages of history reflecting both art and the rich cultural heritage of modern Turkey. We will be pleased to serve you in our home not as a customer but as a guest with a great Turkish hospitality.Whether you choose to stay in our hotel or not,we wish you a pleasent holiday in our beautiful country, Turkey...
