Grand Waldo Hotel Macau

I had a blast. At first I thought it's just snother ordinary 5-star hotel but gues I was wrong. Despite the language barrier, the staff are accomodating. Buffet breakfast was amazing!! Grand Waldo will be on top of my list the next time I visit Macau! :-)

Was pleasantly surprised with Grand Waldo Hotel! Plus factors for the hotel: spacious/elegant lobby, didnt see huge tour groups (sorry but they tend to be noisy & rowdy), loved the welcome drink & free afternoon tea set, reasonably wide selection of buffet breakfast, shuttle service every 30min, good/ clean room. Though the staff hardly speak English, they were very helpful & accommodating. Will definitely come back! Downside: hotel casino very small and the slot machines are old. Never won in the 3 attempts i made- all one way in favor of the casino!

Having come from a 4 star hotel in Bangkok I would rate this hotel as a 3.5 star. The breakfast was poor and the location was inconvenient. Room was okay but small. A review of the star rating system needs to be done!

The location is quite out of the way, need to provide transport from different pickup point, with more trips.

This is certainly not a 5 star hotel. 4 star only.

Very near The Venetian, with a large pool. Price very good for what it offered

Afternoon tea voucher given was a treat! Room had a nice view.

Its a pleasant hotel to stay in. Good facilities with a mini casino and lesser crowd.

I would like to stay in this hotel again on next trip. big swimming pool ( only me a lone swimming), nice complimentary afternoon tea in relaxing small lounge, Live Phillipne Band inside the Casino in the evening+ 24 hour ordering food+drink while you are watching the bank singing=plaing, then black jack playing ( quite fare) for enjoyment. It's not noisy hotel, I would rather stay here instead Venetian on my next trip.

This is a great Hotel, very modern with excellent rooms. The facilities are really good both in the Hotel and the attached Spa and Casino facility. Only complaint is they don't serve fresh juice at breakfast - seems to be an instant version.

Overall the stay in the hotel was great..

Staffs are serviced oriented, care for guests. 100 marks to the service and facilities.

Good hotel. Clean room with nice view, and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and almost all spoke English. An attendant at the Concierge took the time to show us places of interest on a map, and wrote their names in Chinese for us. Another person at the casino very patiently explained to us newbies the rules of one of the games there (should have asked their names) A short taxi drive away from downtown. Price is also lower than other 5 star hotels in the area. Good value for money. Will surely go again.

I have to rate 'bad' for cleanliness as I didn't get what I ordered. I specifically mentioned that I need a non-smoking room as I'm quite sensitive with the smell. I was given the non-smoking room as requested but when I entered it was smelled cigarette badly. I found out that there was an ash tray next to the non smoking sign *doh*. Not sure why they provide it in the first place, it's kinda defeat the purpose. I requested a change but due to peak period (Chinese New Year), all rooms were booked.

disappointed in the gym area, no-one could speak english to provide assistance with machines etc., no staff to advise on anything, made it extremely difficult and spoilt the stay at the hotel. some staff were actually rude. The spa was advertised as being open 24 hours but when we went to use it we were told it wasn't open until 12 noon. Some staff however were extremely helpful, particularly John on the concierge desk and Steven who seemed to work in several areas, they made our stay very pleasant.

I like staying in this hotel as the hotel got lots of facilities.The hotel also got free bus suttle to ferry terminal. From ferry terminal u can go down to the city very close n save lots of money paying for teksi. There also have free food voucher for people who gambling in the casino. I sure will recomment this to everyone.

This hotel was modern. Unfortunatley smoky!

Just 5 minutes away from the Venetian. It works out to be there as the rate is much cheaper. Ok for the price. Room was too cold couldn't figure out how to work the A/C but if I would need to stay again I stay there if no other hotel for the same price.

Everything was ok except the beds. They were very hard.. and I'm no fan of hard beds.
