"A good location if you do not wnt Pisa on your doorstep and ideally situated exactly halfway between Pisa and Lucca (well worth a visit). Can be busy as very popular with coach tours. Our only issue was the location, was a little far out from the sights that we wanted to see, however was accessible by train, otherwise we could not fault it. Hotel Granduca, on the old Lucca road just a few minutes' drive from the Leaning Tower of Pisa (5 km), provides a warm welcome for a relaxing break in the heart of San Giuliano Terme. the recently-built hotel is set in a natural oasis. 170 rooms with private bathroom, hairdryer, direct telephone, minibar, safe box and satellite coulour television, while the entire complex is air-conditioned. Built according to a new concept of technology, it includes rooms for disabled guests and there are no architectural barriers. A large and free parking with video-surviellance. The Restaurant offers the flavour of traditional tuscan cuisine. Highway A11 Firenze- Mare direction Pisa: exit "Lucca"
get the SS12 direction Pisa and pass through the gallery called "Il Foro" (it separates Lucca from Pisa); at the end of the gallery, at the feet of the hills, after the petrol station "Shell" there is a main crossroad; turn right and immediately left to enter into the parking of Hotel Granduca. Distance from Lucca exit: 8 Km.
Highway A12 Genova-Livorno: exit "Pisa Nord"
get SS1 Aurelia south direction (towards Pisa); at the first traffic-lights turn left and follow the indications to Hotel Granduca or San Giuliano Terme.
After 10 Km., on the right side in San Giuliano Terme, there is Hotel Granduca.
