Grandview Hotel Macau Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

nice clean kind great location quite resonable price

4 out of 5

The location is pretty good for people who wants to go to the casino or else it is far away from the main attractions (central area). But from the boarder gate to this hotel only cost $62.5 mop, which is a little less then $10 USD. The cheapest way to get there is to take free shuttle from other hotels, such as Galaxy Hotel and walk 10 to 15 minutes or take taxi ( beware if you can't speak Cantonese, taxi driver might take the long route, but pay no more then $20 mop). The staffs is nice and the room is clean. Beware if you are not a couple because of their glass window in the shower room, but they have a curtain.

Our room was newly renovated and thus in very good conditions. Though it is slightly more expensive than we would expect, it is almost the cheapest for a reasonable hotel in Taipa area during this period.

Clean hotel with comfort room. The check in time suppose to be at 2pm however we reach at 1pm and the staff is so friendly and willing to let us check in earlier. Easy access as there is a bus station right outside the hotel.

I like the safety and cleanliness of the hotel. The only problem here is the staff not fluent in English and not so polite..

Quite a experience for 1st timer, there is NO assistance to lead us to the queue for shuttle bus and hotel sign-board being blocked time wasted finding. Driver did not ask which hotel we're going thus ends up alighting at the sister hotel and wasted 20 minutes to wait for the next shuttle bus.

My wife and our guests had a great time staying at the Grandview Hotel. We had executive suites and the rooms were lovely and the maids fantastic. The beds were very comfortable with soft pillows and comforters. Very close to the shopping mart and Taipa Village where we like to go for dining. Wonderful experience for all of our group.

Overall, this hotel is located in a strategic location in Taipa, with easy accessibility to most of the attractions. Shall check into this hotel again in our next visit to Macau.

Enjoy my 3 nights stayed at this hotel. Clean and good location. Will come back again. Front counter staff provided excellent service to my request for a non smoking floor and facing the turf club.

Great place for me, is only 4Km away from airport and 1Km to Macau Casino area and tourist area near the Casino. No traffic jam zone, food and groceries no issues here. I walked to the sport centre and u got free transport to City of Dreams and Hardrock Hotel. Hotel do provide shuttle services to the ferry terminal but not airport. I believe they are focusing on China, chinese regular gaming clients. Hotel rooms are roomy and room facilities are well provided and very clean.

The location of this hotel is great as you can hop on many of their busses downtown for a small fee. There is a 7-Eleven location opposite so it very conevnient. The staff were very friendly and the checking in and out is very prompt.

1.Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. 2.The room very cold as there is no heating option. Call reception and in 5 minutes a space heater was delivered but it barely warmed the room up. Jan 2011, temp outside 17-12C. Superb system runs a steaming bath in 5mins to warm you up. 3. Hotel very central to Taipa village, supermarkets, eating places, money changer, 2x7-11s, a bus-stop just outside nearly everywhere in Macau, ferry terminals and airport. 4. MOP$150 buffet dinner for 2 was OK pricewise but with basic salad and desert. If you took the free 15min frequency-shuttle from Taipa village to the City of Dreams, you can have a sumptious buffet at MOP$170 for 2 persons. 5. Reception speaks passable English. 6. ONE DRAWBACK is NO MOVIE CHANNEL - no HBO, STAR MOVIE, MGM, HALLMARK etc - but just news, action AXN, CI, docus. Not everybody wants to gamble downstairs. Kinda spoil an otherwise good stay.

Hotel is also casino itself which focus on casino business mostly. Hotel room was large and very nice and comfortable. I have enjoyed this. It is why I recommend the place. I have tried hotel restaurant Valencia to get diner. I was alone there so only buffet was served. Staff was lined up in front of TV like they have never seen any before and paid little attention to the guest. Food was acceptable, but nothing special. I suggest short 10 min. walk to Macau Village, where is a great number of restaurants of various types on one place. Other hotel restaurant and services I haven’t tried. Hotel staff was acceptable.

My overall stay at Grandview was good. Actually Its my second visit there the first one was in 2007 and there were changes and renovation done which I actually like than my first visit. The only hindrance noted was the communication barrier as the receptionist understands only little english. Another problem was the booking I made didnt have a breakfast buffet unlike the my first visit considering that my second visit was more expensive.

It is a hotel near Venetian and City of Dreams, around 5 minutes cab ride. Hotel has more chinese clientelle than say- marriot or metropark The decor is a bit dated but the rooms are comfortable. If i were to linger in city of dreams/venetian area but refuse to pay the premium price, then this hotel is a good pick.

We were allocated a splendidly refurbished room on an executive floor. The room was beautifully quiet all the time we were there (just two nights). For our specific purposes the location was perfect. We were impressed with the bathroom fittings, although the bathroom may be a bit small for some people. The beds were really comfortable - firm, but not hard. The staff at check-in and check-out were exceptionally friendly and processed us at high speed as well. The door men were always on the ball and very cheerful. The reception and lobby staff are a great credit to the hotel and left us with very positive first and last impressions. All in all, the hotel exceeded expectations. One odd point was that the executive floor rooms (we knew two such rooms) had no armchairs or tables, although there seemed to be space for them (maybe they are on order?). That's just a tiny blemish on what was a truly fine short-stay experience. We have been visiting Macau regularly for almost forty years.
