Exclent location.Room had a view over Tover of London.Bathrooms are too small for 5star. They do not provide bathrobes and slipers, until asked. But they did not have slipers anyway :( Generally, accomodation is closer to 4star standard than 5star.
all staff exceptionally helpful, room very comfortable, location great close to underground, highly recommend this hotel, didn't use restaurants as already had meals booked with family friends, the one appeared to have a good selection at very reasonable prices especially for London and the star rating of the hotel. All major attractions can be accessed from this hotel either by the tour buses or underground, taxi's readily available and congirge can book car for private tours at extremely reasonable rates, they also supplied us with drinks and sandwich platter again exceptional value for money, If I get the chance to visit London again I would definately stay here again, they helped to make my long weekend very memorable.
Excellent hotel close to the Tower and other attractions. Helpful friendly staff.
Excellent attention to detail and the hotel staff were very helpful. Superior Suite size was excellent for London and the rooms are well furnished and well decorated.
the hotel is not in the best location (although the tube is very close) it takes about 30 minutes on the tube to get to anywhere central. For a 5 star hotel it lacks certain features in the room such as wi fi, the tv channels are poor and the room cleaning is at irregular times (they also disregard their own instruction to place towels on the rail if you don't want them replaced - and replace them anyway!) the bathroom, although clean had poorly fitted tiles and the grouting was discoloured, something I would not expect of a hotel room at this level. All in all acceptable but not outstanding.
The view from the executive room's balcony was superb, with the gherkin on one side and the Tower of London on the other. Also, we were upgraded to the exec room upon check in.
Lovely hotel very near the tower of london Good service
There are two parts of this hotel, the old and new and it is not easy to get from one to the other. We were not informed off this and at first we went to the wrong part and had difficulty to find our rooms, also you can only reach the spa arear from the new part. If taking your own drinking glasses it is better to clean them yourselves and hide them as the cleaners will take them away and you may be lucky to have them returned? Would stay there again
Reception was not the most efficient, slow on check-in and check-out with reception staff wandering in and out of the desk area and nobody seemed concerned over the ever lengthening queues of people waiting to check in, housekeeping attention to detail in the bathroom was a bit slap dash and the old plastic carrier bag found in the cupboard was disappointing, on the plus side the public area`s were very well kept although there was damage to the wall in the jacuzzi area that i would not expect to see in a 5* but all in all a pleasant stay in a good area for doing the touristy things so would definately recommend.
There was an enormous queue for check in, which I would not expect for a hotel of this standard (especially as there were multiple check in points, og which only one was being used). In addition, the room booking was for 2 people, but only one bathrobe and set of towels was provided. Obtaining more was not easy. Finally, there was no room servoice menu in the room and it took half an hour and multiple phone calls to get one. Overall, the hotel was good, but I am pleased I received a cheap rate through [Your website] as the hotel would absolutely not have been worth the full price.
Check-in was slow and breakfast was expensive but apart from that the hOtel is beautiful, in a great location and staff are very curtious. Would stay again.
Excellent location next to the Tower of London and 30 seconds from the tube station. Lovely swimming pool. Get free nuts at the bar!
Overall we had a great stay, we had a room which faced Canary Wharf and the view in the evening was great.. Our room over looked fenchurch street station which was a little diconcerting however we were unable the hear the trains at all!! The Bar situated near the lobby area was very smokey and and for this reason we did not use the it.. the continental breakfast was great a very good variety on offer, no need to pay an additional £6.50 for a full English..
