Excellent Hotel, we were upgraded to an executive room, The Reception staff and concearge were also very helpful. Excellent location for Centrel london, 10 minute walk to Oxford street. I would definately book again if staying in Central London.
Well located, old style hotel in good condition. Good for a short trip to London, close to Kings Cross/St Pancras stations and easy connection to Paddington, the closest tube is just a few mins walk away. Standard room rate was quite high but the rate through this website was excellent and made it good value, otherwise I would have thought it a little overpriced. Quite nice overall.
Good room’s whit nice size for England. Superb location. Very nice service. High internett chargés.
Nice stay! But there's no air conditioning!!
This location is ideal for short stays as you may read in other peoples reviews. It was clean and of high quality, but by our third day my girlfriend was feeling a little claustraphobic as the room was quite small.
Stayed for the weekend. Price was alright in comparison to rest of london. Close to oxford street and madam taussades. Good Base for the weekend.
I feel that the stairs entrance to the hotel should have a hand rail fitted also the entrance doors are particularly heavy, stiff and a bit narrow and it was noticeable that not only myself but other guests found getting through these with luggage was extremely difficult. It was rare for a memeber of staff to be there to hold the second door open to increase the width to go through. Definitely try the wee Italian restaurant that is on 2nd street behind this hotel - also great Turkish Restaurant Efes nearby.
We spent a week-end in London and wanted to find a hotel ideally located near the centre. The value for money is good. We got a room on the first flloor. It was perfect to stay for one night, although the bed was fairly small. In terms of service, we did not need to leave our baggages in the lock room as the receptionist gave us an early chick-in at 10 am. This was very much appreciated. Finally, one has to notice that the area is very quiet. We could recommend this hotel easily
Very good hotel in handy location. I would certainly use it again
Very pleasant staff and a great location. We got an upgrade so our room had air-con, but I could see what other posters mean about the corridors being very hot - so I imagine the standard rooms are hot as well on the rare days in this country when heat is an issue! (standard rooms don't have air-con). By the way, the outdoor enclosed area shown on the website is not available to hotel guests - only to those using one of the conference rooms. We got a good rate, and would recommend the hotel at that reduced rate.
Good location and a short walk from Oxford Street, Regents Park etc. Ideal stopover when up for a night at the theatre or a show.
The hotel is situated ideally and in a quiet part of town re. noise traffic. A 25 minute walk from Kings Cross, 5 minutes into Oxford Street, and walkable to all major attractions, if you your ok walking for a maximum of 30 mins. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, and value you for money through this site. Normal price £220 a night. One negative only, the room and hotel corridors were very warm. If the hotel sorted this, would recommend the hotel to anyone.
