Right in the middle of it all. Loved the location, walking distance to everything!
The hotel was very shabby and must be due for decorating!!! reception, certain staff could and should be more friendly and give customers information on the events and features of Edinburgh!! Useful if you are not a local to Scotland!! The food in the pub next door is good however the portions could be more generous! The noise coming from this was loud and if staying at the front would be uncomfortable however it rained so this was helpful as we stayed at the front.
A perfect hotel for a stay in Edinburgh. Nice and friendly personal and a nice clean room (no 401) for a cheap price. The room was close to the elevator, but we nerver heard any noice from it. Even the location is very good (close to the royal mile and Edinburgh castle). Would gladly recommend it to anyone is going to visit Edinburgh!
Hotel is located in a very central area. Rooms are a little bit small though but very clean and comfartable. For the price you are paying I think this hotel is a great deal. Will definately stay there again the next time I am In Edingburgh
I have read a few reviews regarding this hotel, to be honest i was worried when i got there! I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel was spotlessly clean, we ended up with a triple for the price of a twin...so their was loads of room. My only complaint would be that the room was very warm! Just typical British hotels where there usually isnt the need for AC. The roadway was a bit noisy when the windows were open..but Hey what do you expect its a busy city!
Me and my friend was very happy about our room and the service. Unfortunatly our friends got a room with mould and bad air.
Clean, comfortable hotel well sited for easy access to all local amenities & nightlife. No hassle book in/out process and good rates.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Close to the Royal Mile and the busy historic centre. The location was close to good cheap food outlets and the pub downstairs served adequate meals. The only complaint I have are the number of staircases to reach my top floor room as the lift only went up 2 floors. The staff were helpful in getting an old lady's luggage up the stairs and moved me as soon as possible. Will stay there again!
A nice clean hotel in the heart of the Grassmarket. It wasn't too noisy and very reasonably priced. Would stay again.
A basic hotel for a basic price. Located close to the city centre with an Irish Pub attached. Room sizes vary, and pending on floor, the pub noise may be audible. Breakfast is served in the pub at a reduced price for hotel guests. There are also plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around the Grassmarket. We enjoyed our stay and would come back!
CLEAN, WARM AND A GREAT LOCATION, WE WOULD DEFINETELY GO TO STAY THERE AGAIN. THE RECEPTIONISTS WERE MOST HELPFUL. THANK YOU
double room was very small, not enough wardrobe space, no heating other than a small heater and the towel rail
Very handy hotel.
Great. Loved in. Situated in the best part of Edinburgh!
Very helpful staff. Great location.
First floor room at the front and very little noise from the street, even with major road works going on outside.
great location, friendly staff. only negative is the noise from the bar tends to be a bit loud.
found this hotel to be wright in the heart of the nite life. Lively with a great pub next door. would use this hotel again enjoyed my stay.
Perfect location, very friendly staff, luggage room is available. Breakfast was not included but available in the pub below. Location is absolutely amazing just a few minutes from the Castle and the Royal Mile. Very popular pub downstairs - though the pub were exactly under our windows - the noise didn't disturb us at all. Will stay there again and recommend to all my friends. Value for money hotel!
The hotel was very nice, much exceeding expectations. The only failing was that reception was regularly un-staffed, which meant some waiting around until someone came out.
