Great Trethew Manor is set in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by 30 acres of beautiful gardens, woodlands and meadows. The only access is a delightful half mile drive, bordered with many lovely trees and shrubs. All 14 rooms are en suite and offer comfortable accommodation. Inside the Manor we have a large character bar and restaurant with a beamed ceiling, flag stoned floor and log fires when the evenings get chilly. The Restaurant with candle lit tables and roaring log fires offers an A La Carte Menu to suit everybody's taste, including such exotic game as zebra, bison and springbok. Bar snacks are also available throughout the day. We serve top quality food from the harbour, the farm and the game keepers larder. Hotel offers a range of outdoor activities, such as walking, trout fishing and pony trekking within the grounds and local adjoining woodlands of Great Trethew Manor.

Getting there:From the Tamar Bridge at Plymouth (A38) follow the signs to Liskeard. On approaching the second roundabout (Trerulefoot) take the 3rd exit for Liskeard. Approx 2 miles on reaching the brow of the hill, take a left hand junction for Looe, we are approximately half a mile off this road on the left.

In the middle of the Cornish country side, great views, even peacocks displaying and decorating the grounds. The bedrooms would best be described as quirky. The four poster bed had to be placed away from the wall, thus the bedside tables were against another wall, 3 paces away. Not much room to even write a letter, television about as small as can be, the shower only an excuse for one. The staff were very nice and the restaurant very good. Not 5star but I would go again.
A pleasant stay at a country house style hotel. Breakfast was good and room clean and tidy.

These are 2 bedroom self catering cottages, within the grounds of great trethew. They consist of a double room and a room with bunk beds, and a shower room. Downstairs there is a small kitchen/lounge and dining area. To the front of the property a small garden with ample space for parking. The cottages are fully equipped with all utensils, crockery and cutlery. All bed linen is provided, except for the exception of the towel.s

Absolutely breathtaking with free wandering peacocks. This is a must for a romantic break, with gorgeous grounds and exellent food. I travel for and work and pleasure all around the Uk and world and this is one of the most originally english manors I have ever encountered.
