Getting there:From the federal highway, proceed south on Northbourne Avenue through the city, and continue south around Vernon Circle and onto Commonwealth Avenue Bridge. You pass over Lake Burley Griffin. Continue left onto State Circle around Parliament House. Turn left at the Canberra Avenue intersection and continue past 2 sets of traffic lights. Turn left into Giles Street after the second set of traffic lights. Proceed along Giles street, to Tench Street and the Griffin Hotel is on your left.
Check-in Procedure:A 24 hour cancellation policy exists. Check in time from 3pm Reception opens from 7am - 11pm daily. No check in after 11pm Your credit card guarantees a room for your stay. Credit Card and PhotoID BELONGING TO THE RESERVATION HOLDER MUST be presented for authorisation upon check-in. Un-used funds from pre-authorisation will be available in your account within 5-7 working days. Griffin Hotel reserves the right to terminate any reservation that does not provide these criteria.

Great hotel! rooms were massive with everything one could want. the only downside was that there is no room-service available but everything else was 100%. will definately stay again.
Very efficient and friendly. Everything worked as it should and furnishings /appliances/ equipment all of very good quality
The hotel has a pleasant villagey feel and the apartments are spacious and comfortable. Everything is fresh and clean. You could easily self-cater from the kitchen but there are cafes and restaurants over the road. The front desk does not provide the sense of a real hotel but rather a set of serviced apartments. However, the restaurant served a really good breakfast with very friendly and helpful service.
Lovely new reno with nice kitchen and great t.v. Watched a free movie lounging on the big couch! Bed was WAY too soft for me but some might like that. Also mattress was latex I think and therefore quite hot but we just opened the window a bit, and all fine. Very kindly let us have a later check out for free. Location opposite the Kingston Shops is fantastic..would have loved to have spent a bit more time there and would definately go back. Thanks :)
Lovely place, excellent location, would be better if it had a bath or spa in the rooms though...
Having stayed in other hotels in Kingston and surrounding areas I have to say that the Griffin is the most dated of them all - old furniture, bathroom facilities, TV. Comparing the price I have to say the Griffin is expensive for what it offeres. Regards
