Griffin House Hotel London

literally a 5min walk from marble arch tube station(the west side of oxford street.was advertised with sky tv but got freeview that didnt work. my room rate was a last minute deal at £55 a night and £65 for friday night.

Room we stayed in was very small for a double,you had to strain your neck to watch TV if you wanted to as it was situated on top of the Wardrobe.No Tea/coffee making facilities either,probably because nowhere to put them.Rooms clean,staff friendly and a decent light Breakfast and fairly quiet considering its Location.All in all not bad.

Nice,friendly,clean,budget hotel. Great location,great prices,clean bedding (important to me !!).Ensuite shower,sink & WC fine enough.Overall,a very good hotel as far as budget hotels go,there are worse places out there charging more,so i'd heartily recommend this hotel after my 3 night stay !!

The room was much smaller than anticipated and our request for 3 single bedrooms was not met. the hotel needed some major refurbishment works as it looked fairly shabby and worn out ( although there were signs in the breakfast area saying that redecoration of the hotel was to take place) the quality of workmanship and decor was pretty cheap. I would class this a bed and breakfast place rather than a hotel - that said the service ( reception and breakfast) was friendly. Would I recommend the hotel to others or stay there again? - probably not.

A very basic hotel - just OK if all you want is to sleep. My room had no room for anything apart from the double bed, which was the only place to sit or do anything. You had to climb over the bed to get to the tiny wardrobe or the window. But the room was clean, and this was a very inexpensive stay for a hotel so close to Marble Arch and central London. The armed police across the road (presumably guarding Tony Blair's home) were an interesting and not wholly reassuring extra!

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff of this hotel - they were most kind and helpful. The location was excellent. However, although I was comfortable and the room was well-equipped, it would benefit from an update and revamp. Acceptable though, for the price for a hotel in central London.

Satisfied with the Griffin for the price that we paid, would have been nice to have received a sample of shower gel,but otherwise clean and central for London with a satisfactory breakfast. Would stay again for a one-night break in the city for a theatre break.

This hotel was basic but for the price paid was excellent. The room was clean and had plenty space/storage for 2 people. Friendly staff on the reception desk. Did not try the brakfast so could not comment on that. Location was fantastic at Marble Arch. 2/3 mins walk from the tube station. Would use again myself and recommend.

If you book online, then you will get very best for the price you pay. Excellent Hotel & worthy for the price & close to Tube station Marble Arch, Edgware Road & good Restaurants.

The exterior of the hotel is very well maintained and clean, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpfull. The facilities were basic, but at that price in London, not unexpected. We did not stay for breakfast as we had to leave early, so cannot comment on that

Breakfast was from 8.30 til 10am. For a business person this is too late - therefore I was unable to have breakfast as I needed to leave by 8am. Otherwise room was clean and functional, though a bit small. The staff were very pleasant and accomodating.

I think that this Hotel was very nice, friendly staff, very clean...Very close to Oxford St... I will stay there again and again..

The Griffin House Hotel is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Marble Arch. This 2* has just been recently refurbished so very clean and comfortable. The twin room was small but had a good sized ensuite shower room. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent value!

A nice little hotel within walking distance from the central parts of London and in a safe part of the town.

Overall for the price - not bad at all! I was even upgraded to a double free of charge. Staff are friendly and the room was kept clean and tidy. Good.
