Guadalupe Hotel Granada Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

We had a very good overall experience with the hotel. Some of the plumbing must be pretty old, because the water noise from the neighboring room (shower running, toilet flushing) was pretty loud. The rooms have a nice view of the Sierra Nevada mountains and part of the Alhambra. You park across the street and walk into the Alhambra Palace - very convenient! The breakfast buffet was fine for the continental portion of the offering: fruits, pastries, coffee, etc. We did not order the full breakfast because the scrambled eggs did not look great and the sausages were swimming in oil. Since we did not want the full breakfast anyway this was not a big deal for us.

The hotel is located just an opposite of Alhambra. Great feeling to have this beautiful site so very close. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel near anyhting you would want. An easy walk to the histric sites and to restuarants and tapa bars. Beautiful views, large rooms. Wireless internet a little spotty but that seems to be the case all over Spain

Very helpful staff. I traveled around Europe and never had this great service in any other places. They booked me some tours and gave me some advice to see around. The hotel is right outside Alhambra. Either you walk or catch a bus but it's not that far from the main city centre. Great experience. I highly recommend!!

Highly recommended. Location opposite Alhambra cannot be beaten, but get a taxi back up hill from the city centre. We had view of olive groves from room, and breakfast, which is a good selection, in dining room overlooking Alhambra gardens. Loved it. Very friendly service. Room amenities are more than adequate. Would go back any time.

excellant position for alhambra, attentive staff, quick service, food acceptable but not a winning feature. You need to parkin the the alhambra car park park first and then give the ticket to the hotel reception who will give you a slip to obtain 24 hour rate of eur13.00. i would definitly stay there again.

this is a wonderful hotel - perfectly placed for visiting the Alhambra, and for walking into the main town for the evening with a cheap bus bringing us back home! The breakfast was very reasonable - for the price we all thought it very good value, and the staff were very helpful and you got a very good deal on the parking.

The staff are charming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It was lovely to go back there after four years. We will stay there again without hesitation. When we arrived we asked for a balcony room and they gave us one without any hesitation. The breakfast was delicious, but we had forgotten how hard the beds were! They even booked our tickets for the Alhambra the next day.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff. Great location if you want to be close to the Alhambra. Had a great meal in their restaurant. Free internet access. The room was a good size although it did smell a bit musty.

I stayed at this hotel in July 2008 for 2 nights. I found it an ideally placed for visiting the Alhambra grounds and palace which was 60 metres down the hill. Book your tickets in advance....it will save the queing. A large car park is opposite the Hotel and the Granada sight seeing bus also stops here....well worth the 17 euros for 48 hours. The rooms were good, clean and reasonably quiet except for the high pressure water system which you could hear when some flushed the toilet. The food was ok but there could have been more choice The staff could have been a little more friendly , but in the main a reasonably priced hotel that I would stay at if I returned to Granada

The location is excellent, right across the street from the Alhambra. There is a mini-bus just 50 meters down from the hotel that goes to the center of town (below). The food is good and the service fine.

We found this an excellent hotel. Service was very good and the location was very convenient to the Alhambra. Therre is an excellent bus service from acroos the road into town which circles the Albaicin arab qaurter, a great way to experience it if you are not up to the walking (very hilly). However, walking from the hoel into town( downhill) is only 10 mins to the centre. Highly reccommend the OLIVE OIL TOUR. Most interesting!
