Gwendoline Court Motor Inn Rotorua

The front of house staff were good. The rooms were very tired, and breakfast had to be taken at another motel down the road. Not good when it's raining!

Very average hotel with spa, we enjoy the spa. extra bed wasn't very confortable but for one night it's ok

Nice and quiet place to stay in Rotorua away from the crowded centre. Standard, nothing too luxurious but clean and comfortable / affordable for a whole family.

Good motel for the price even though slightly rundown and in need of refurbishment. Well located. Friendly service. Breakfast at a sister motel 100 metres down the road.

A very nice motel. Good size, big enough for a family. Located quite a way from the centre of Rotorua, however no problem if you have a car! The service was good. Only complaint is the breakfast was very ordinary (located at another motel 50m down the road).

Staff were helpfull and friendly. Studio Spa we stayed in was a nice set-up but a little worn and tired and would benifit a tidy up by a good trades person rather than what looked like handyman work to keep things going. I would stay again but only at discounted rates.

Private spa was awsome, wasnt cramped for space like most motels would definatly stay again!

Would be very happy to stay there again.

Well located with very helpful staff

We enjoyed staying in this hotel especially the spa pool. The only problem was the parking space which was very tight especially with a large van in the next unit.

fantastic hospitality

An older place, but was really clean and tidy, service was good, definitely a middle of the range Inn..good for families and people trying to keep the prices down.

Enjoyed our stay, the spa pool in the courtyard made it extra special, lovely area to relax in. Room was clean, 2 single beds we slept on in bedroom must have been for kids though as they were not big enough and too soft. There were 4 adults so maybe it was designed for 2 adults 2 children. Recommend hotel

motel in dire need of upgrade but ok for price

It was nice having an upstairs and downstairs room and the private spa was excellent, although in a cold area in the rear of the room. Kitchen facilties and the service and facilties were very good. The only major problem was the inadequate laundry facilties - although I was not charged the usual $6 for wash and dry, the single washer and dryer were not very good. The location was quiet, although transport is needed to reach the town centre.

Found the motel quite satisfactory for our needs.Our only criticism was that the travel directions from the Yellow Pages site were incorrect, so it wasn't where we thought it was and its supposed position had influenced our booking there.As it turned out the unit and the staff made up for the distance from town.

Own spa pool was great. Unit was spacious, clean and well equipped. We had breakfast included at a neighbouring property, but it was very basic and we would not bother with it again. Overall a The Gwendoline offered a good deal for those on a budget.

When we arrived, the heating had been turned on and our rooms were very warm, excellent when we were coming in from the cold. Nice and clean units. Friendly Receptionist.
