Very good Hotel overall for its price. Good location, large and clean rooms, very friendly staff. I would stay there again.HÝghly recomended.
Rooms and corridors are ample, silent, comfortable and therfore restful. Personel is just ok, too grumpy at times.
very good location, very helpfull staff
Our room 304 was provided with a faulty floor lamp. The shower did not work particularly well due to leakage from 'the wrong places' on both the shower hose and the shower head. Asking at reception when sheets were meant to be changed and got the answer 'every second night' I told them our sheets had not been changed after four nights. Then they were changed. - Breakfast buffet was nice and so were the staff.
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, excellent buffet breakfast, great central location, smartly furnished room. Only complaint is the slow and erratic wireless internet... I would definitely stay here again...
Hotel in great location, central to most things - very clean - staff quite helpful.
Like the sister hotel in Barcelona, this hotel was fantastic. Only faults were that it did not have jacuzzi or a rooftop bar and the staff were a little bit rude.
This isn't a 5 star facility, but it is excellent for what they have. The location is nearly perfect for discovering Madrid (shopping - WOW!, museums and general city bustling). They take an older building and with elbow grease and good people turn it into the most it can be. I would definitely stay here again. This isn't a resort facility. It's a simple hotel with a spit polish.
We really liked the location, the quality of the hotel. a 10 minute walk to Plaza Mayor. Ideal for a walking tour of Madrid. a 3 minute walk to the Gran Via metro. Breakfast spread is excellent with a good variety of cereal , fruit, yoghurts and breads and the two ladies at the breakfast counter are friendly. The rooms are really small. well this is normal, i guess. The bathrooms are quite spacious and very well maintained.
Good hotel, very good value (at least the price we got was!), and fantastic central location, close to just about everything.
Good location but it's a 3 stars hotel rather than 4 stars in reality. Room is fairly small but hotels in central Madrid are generally pretty expensive so I'm okay with H10 for a short stay experience.
Very convenient hotel, easywalk to the Plaza Mayor and Peurto do Sol
Would recommend this hotel. Rooms a little small but very contemporary design and clean and well furnished. On a very noisy road, Gran Via, but the double glazing is sufficent and the different air conditioning settings make it comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
The room facing the street is very noisy, but after we requested for an inside room, it was much better. The front desk staff are helpful.
An ideally situated hotel for viewing the old city. It's also beside a metro station. Friendly staff, great breakfast and despite the fact it's situated on a busy street, the bedroom was very quiet. The only thing I didn't like was when the window was opened it was surrounded on ALL sides by other rooms at very close proximity and no fresh air could get in as when one looked up the air space above was covered by a perspex roof with a tiny space to allow some air in. The A/C in the room therefore had to be permanently left on as the temperature was hot.
Excellent location close to all transport and shopping (maybe too close), good sized room, great price. Very quiet rooms, even though the location is on a very busy street, would definitely return when again in Madrid.
Excellent location, friendly staff, modern facilities, just great for the ones that want to be right downtown in Madrid.
Great buffet breakfast.....
V de la R is very well located in the centre of Madrid literally two steps from the Metro, welcoming foyer and friendly helpful staff. room very comfortable (although I would have appreciated a chair) with useful details such as shoeshine kit, dental kit etc. excellent shower, which is very important to me. the one criticism i have is that although the bar is a 'non smoking' area, smoking is allowed at the tables served by the bar and is very uncomfortable for non smokers. but this is a problem all over Spain. a very pleasant stay otherwise. thank you
The room we had was quite small compared to others I have stayed in and did face onto the busy Gran Via which meant traffic noise sometimes until early hours. However it was a small price to pay for a hotel in such an excellent location for exploring Madrid.
