Hamlet Downs near Mt Field National Park and the SW Wilderness offers 4 Star private apartments withtheir own entrances, bathroom and dining/lounge areas. Some have kitchens. We offer fabulous dinners and breakfasts. No need to preorder from normal menu. If you are travelling between Hobart and Strahan, Hamlet Downs is the perfect stopover before proceeding. Relax, have a great meal using our own produce, enjoy a walk at Russell Falls in the Mt Field National Park, or have a relaxing drink at the cafe next to the Tyenna River. Want some adventure, then try the activities at the Maydena Adventure Hub or have a go on the Jet Boat on the Derwent River. There is a 1 km walking track along our creek and ponds where wildlife are often seen. Cot subject to availability for fee. Free WiFi (subject to generous up/download limit). Coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, laundry, hairdryers, radios, CD player are also provided. Light provisions or a fully cooked breakfast is available at extra cost as well as dinner. The dinner menu ranges from light meals to a 3 course banquet. Cancellations made within 7 days of the stay will incur the tariff for 1 day (in addition to any imposed by Rates2Go). Cancellations made on the day of stay or non arrivals will incur the full tariff for the stay (max 7 days payable in these cases).

Getting there:Take the following roads: A1 from Hobart to Granton, then the A10 to New Norfolk, then the B62 & B61 to Westerway. Go straight ahead 4 kilometres along the C608 to Fentonbury and turn left at Gully Road.

Beautiful setting with pretty gardens. Lovely dinner, with lots of choice. It is quite a distance from other major towns, but a lovely location to visit Mt Field National Park.

Room with king sized bed or 2 extra long singles, with ensuite (3/4 bath) and its own entrance & lounge/dining room. Has great views to the fields, gardens and ponds. Room also has foldout sofa for up to 2 persons and its own Kitchenette.

Room only rate for 1 or 2 persons. Extra adult $40 each/night. Extra Child (4-14 years old) $25/person/night. If booking children, select the extra adult rate and a refund will be provided on arrival. Suite with 2 rooms, one with Queen bed and the other with 2 single beds. Unit has kitchen, lounge/dining room and verandah. 2 bedrooms one with queen bed and one with 2 single beds. Views to the garden. Apartment has separate private bathroom, entrance, full kitchen and also enjoys private lounge and dining area with log fire.
