Hanmer View Bed & Breakfast in its garden setting is adjacent to the Conical Hill walkway and Heritage Forest. Hanmer View has one queensize ensuite bedroom, two super kingsize ensuite bedrooms with one room having 2 twin single beds option. Just as the name suggests - Hanmer View Bed and Breakfast offers spectacular views over the village, Hanmer Basin and to the mounbtains. Our guests enjoy a quite, relaxing stay in air conditioned luxury rooms all of which open on to the balcony.

Getting there:
As you leave Christchurch travel on SH7 1 1/2 hours north to the Hanmer Springs turnoff. Driving through Hanmer Springs on Conical Hill Road you merge into Oregon Heights. We are well signed posted at the end of Oregon Heights.

Check-in Procedure:
Our guests are most welcome to check-in from 2.00pm onwards on the day of arrival or earlier by special arrangement.

Car parking:
Hanmer View has two guest parking areas. Parking is free.

Child Policy:
Sorry but we are not able to cater for children. No children please.

We had a comfortable, attractive room with spectacular views. Friendly hosts. A peaceful location, just a short drive (or walk, though it's uphill coming back!) to town.

This was a fantastic place to stay regarding views and position. The rooms were attractive and the hosts friendly. The breakfast menu could have been a little more varied and inventive. Otherwise it was a great place to stay and the hosts were extremely helpful with suggestions regarding walks and restaurants.

This B&B is one of the best we have stayed in in New Zealand or the UK. The key to our most enjoyable stay was the welcoming attitude of Brendan and Jane the owners and managers. Nothing seemed to be too hard for them and they did their best to make us welcome, comfortable and familiar with the facilities. Yet at no stage were they intrusive upon our privacy. The little extras, like the chocolates, the soft drinks in the room and the liqueur cabinet were pleasant, unexpected surprises. A top place...we will return.
