Food very bad and facilities and average but for price location good and service friendly
Great place, Clean and the staff are knowledgeable
Being in Old Town can make access dificult. Electrical sockets of most unusual type not seen before, no plugs traceable in Hanoi to fit; had to unplug supplied computer from extension lead and connect own two pin extension lead to connect cameras, phones and computer to enable charging. Noise from nightclub next door sounded like distressed diesel engine on 4th floor, on 1st floor would need ear pads if UK health and safety laws applied. Good hotel ruined by nightclub.
The location is good for bars and restaurants nearby. However, a new nightclub opened right next door during our week there at the end of April 09. The music from this nightclub started at 8.30pm and finished by 11.45pm and it was loud and thumping and we and other guests we spoke to were unable to sleep until after the music stopped.
The hotel was being renovated while we were there which meant quite a lot of disruption. We did not recieve a city view as promised. The towels were very worn and grey in colour. The staff, however, were friendly and helpful. Good location
This location is ideal, a short walkf from all the main attractions and right in the thick of the main 'old town' activity area. it can be a bot noisy at times, but a room on an upper floor at the back can be quite peaceful
Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Attentive, friendly staff. Good internet connection for business travellers. Excellent value for money. My only gripe would be the noise from the club next door until about 11.30pm.
We stayed here for three nights. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. There is a night club beside it though so if you are after peace and quite this is not the place for you. Location is great, we were able to wlak everywhere.
Nice rooms, terrible noisy disco on gournd floor
Very nice 3 star hotel. Was upgraded to Family suite...
Right in the middle of the old City. Bathrooms could have been better - with the shower drain off not working. Besides that the service was friendly.
Very loud disco downstairs with music vibrating the building until very late. A massive Police drug raid shut it down for much or our stay (Thank God). Construction work starts very early and very close. Combined with the disco noise it is not recommended for a good nights sleep. It is located down a very narrow street somewhat off the beaten path. We had to request a room change once because of a backed up drain and a very fowl smell. The laundry service is very poor. The staff was friendly but I would not stay at this hotel again. Overpriced.
I ended up staying here for 7 nights! The staff were really friendly, it was clean and a great location. Only issue was that the night club downstairs meant it was noisy at night unless you had a hight floor. Would def go back tho
The breakfast is very poor.
Noise from basement disco will keep you awake up to about midnight daily. Noise from ajoining construction work starts from daybreak until late afternoon. Staff have a way or coming into the room without knocking! Daily cleaning of room not necessarily carried out even if door label hung out to request makng up the room. We were moved around from one room to another over the 2 day stay and there was confusion and delay on checking in with front desk not aware of prior booking despite it being written in the register! Otherwise, staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. I will probably not stay at this hotel again if I ever visit Hanoi again just to see if other places in the price range are similiar in rating.
I found this hotel is not worth.US$59 is too expensive compare to the kind of room I've got. 1.Breakfast was very bad . Everything was oily.Sausage was terrible.I came down at 8 am., the food was almost gone and no refill for the new comers.Nothing was delicious. The bell boys team was chef! 2.Room is not as beautiful as I've seen the hotel website.I stayed at queen suite. There was no dustbin in my room. 3.There was a construction sound on day time and there was a disco music during night time.I stayed at 4th floor , I heard the music from downstair till mid night. 4.US$25-30 per night is the right rate for this hotel. This hotel needs a lot of improvement if they want to sell at US$49.
The location is centralised in the Old Quater and near the Hoan Kiem Lake. Convenient for travelers that wish to shop around most of time. One thing bad is there is a pub next to the hotel which the turbo effect of the music has created noice till mid night. Anything is on the payment part. The hotel charged us full amount without deducting deposit paid to agency at first. Only after some arguement then they agreed to deduct.
Staff were very helpful and eager to accommodate every request
Very new hotel looks great on website and makes good first impression. Great location in old city. but when we checked in, reception staff told us that my Vietnamese girlfriend and I would have to book additional room at $30 per night because of "problems with police" if we shared room. No other hotel on our trip, including 4 star hotel, mentioned this. Shower in our room had no separate drain so whole of bathroom floor flooded when we took showers. No soap holder in the shower so soap or shampoo had to go on flooded floor. There was loud construction work going on in the hotel all day; luckily they didn't work Sunday. Breakfast buffet very mediocre; we didn't bother to try it. This hotel really need to improve its act if it wants repeat custom. Many older budget hotels in same street. May not look as good but better facilities at half the price with excellent friendly service.
