Hanoi Phoenix Hotel is also a tour guide outlet. I was dubious at first but the staff were very helpful. They showed us a range of brochures and made a recommendation. We had an excellent experience. We are budget travellers and enjoyed our stay. The staff offered to do things for us that made our stay in Vietnam more enjoyable. Breakfast was fine – a mixture of Asian and Western food with abundant fresh fruit. The room was adequate but had nowhere to put bags which is shortcoming of some budget hotels. A bench instead of a wardrobe would have been more useful. I would recommend the hotel to budget travellers.
Excellent value for money. The hotel staff are very friendly and help wherever they can.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance to many of the attractions. The free breakfast and internet gives value to the guest.
Stayed two nights and think it's correct place for the price they charge. Got a quiet room as requested. It was rather small and the window was into a narrow "well" facing another room window - not bad if you just sleep there. Staff tries to help you but they are not too good in English. If somebody manages to explain to them "one side fried eggs" / "sunny side up" - I'ld take off my hat!!! Will probably stay there again.
If you are in Ha Noi and want to stay in the Hoan Kiem district (old town), then I would recommend the Hotel Phoenix. It is centrally located, and offers easy walking to the many nearby attractions, including many interesting shopping experiences. The very friendly staff are a wealth of information about Ha Noi and indeed Vietnam travel in general and the manager, Kelvin has excellent English. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the Phoenix has a range of room types and rates. Breakfast is included and is a good way to start the day. Fresh coffee and tea are offered all day. For me it has a family feeling and I would recommend the Phoenix for a pleasant stay in Ha Noi
Hanoi Phoenix is the best hotel in Hanoi ,we have stayed. Staff was extremely helpful; assisting with internet booking, airport pick-up, and arranging our trips . Room was comfortable ,cleaned everyday .Free tea and coffee is served all days.
The hotel is new ,the room was clean and comfortable ,alot of amenities inside,the staff were very helpful and enthusiastic ,they helped me to arrange my trips such as Halong bay and SaPa, Ho Lu -Tam Coc ...which were excellent and very good price. Over all, every thing was better than i expected .
This is a wonderful hotel ,the room was very clean and was overwhemed with fragance ,the staff were very friendly and helpful ,they helped us to arranged our trip to HaLong Bay, Sapa and another places ,those were excellent. Very good location ,it is easy to access the most wanted places .Value for money and Highly recommended hotel.
The service overall is good. They would pick you up from the airport with pre-arrangement. The staff is friendly. If you need to leave for overnight trips outside of Hanoi, they would keep your bigger luggage until your return. I gave a bad rating for cleanliness because I got flea bites on my legs and arms as a result of my stay. Overall, the room is ok.
