"Stayed two nights and think it's correct place for the price they charge. Got a quiet room as requested. It was rather small and the window was into a narrow "well" facing another room window - not bad if you just sleep there. Staff tries to help you but they are not too good in English. If somebody manages to explain to them "one side fried eggs" / "sunny side up" - I'ld take off my hat!!!

"If you are in Ha Noi and want to stay in the Hoan Kiem district (old town), then I would recommend the Hotel Phoenix.
It is centrally located, and offers easy walking to the many nearby attractions, including many interesting shopping experiences.
The very friendly staff are a wealth of information about Ha Noi and indeed Vietnam travel in general and the manager, Kelvin has excellent English.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the Phoenix has a range of room types and rates.
Breakfast is included and is a good way to start the day. Fresh coffee and tea are offered all day.
For me it has a family feeling and I would recommend the Phoenix for a pleasant stay in Ha Noi " - Lawrence Johnson
