Happy Day Inn Vancouver

I wasn't expecting the Ritz. This place was chosen mainly because it was cheap, relatively close to my destination, and it was recommended to me. The inn is an older building, so it wasn't well appointed, nor was it in a classy part of town. It was clean and comfortable, if a little creepy at first. The a/c worked well, and the wi-fi was very good compared to slower speeds at more modern facilities. I couldn't hear any noise from the other rooms, but traffic noise outside was rather loud, although partially drowned out by the a/c. I would recommend this for a cheap one night stay in urban Vancouver/Burnaby.

The location was ok. Old but comfortable. A breakfast was included but I feel that half a bagel, an apple and a cup of coffee was not really breakfast. The manager on duty didn't have much of a personality - not even eye contact when we checked out.

Absolutely excellent value for the cost!

The hotel is very basic, you get what you paid for. The staff are friendly, beds were made everyday and the room cleaned up. We had a rental car so the distance from CBD was not a problem, it took us approx. 30mins. to get to and from downtown.

It might be a typical Continental breakfast to some, but I would not recommend it. Apples did appear occassionally, but primarily it was do-nuts and muffins, lots of goodies with sugar and icing on them, but certainly not for the healthy or weight concious.

A good motel with easy access by car and bus nearby. Kitchen in room is a bonus. Good value for money.

Good location if you have a car although public transport is nearby. We had a kitchenette in room. Shopping centres nearby. No elevators. Very good value at $70 per night.

We actually stayed there another 2 nights as it was convenient for us. Lots of restaurants within walking diatance and a pub. The biggest Mall in BC, 15 min drve away.

I have no complaints. The room was clean and not too cramped. The location wasn't too bad and easily accessible by bus. The pricing was bloody awesome. Service came with a smile and a genuine feel. I've gotten worse and paid much more in the past. I plan to use them again!!

Although a little far from downtown, in case you have a rental car, it is the best choice!!!!

Very convenient with kitchenete (stove, fridge dishes, pots and pans). I stayed here for eight days and was very pleased with the service and the convenience of being able to prepare meals when I wanted. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in the Burnaby, New Westminster area. Easy access to highway to Vancouver.

This little place was nice and clean, The bed was comfy and the staff were very helpful. It's quite a way from the airport so expect to pay about $80.00 in taxi fares return.

The only thing that I didn't like was the smell (seemed to be a smoking room).

Basic accommodation at an excellent price.

Front Desk staff seemed a little harried, but were courteous and informative. Nice QUIET area of town (with residential zoning immediately behind the hotel). Some minor noise between suites, but not intrusive.

I found the staff very friendly and helpfull including the cleaning staff! The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet..:)

Clean hotel and we got what we paid for.
