"Signposting to find this place is appalling. There are no facilities at all in walking or even reasonable driving distance. The door access system was not explained, causing me to have to return in my car to reception which was closed at 8pm. The phone number on the door did not respond and I was locked out. Someone did eventually answer but the whole experience was bad. Arriving here is a bit like arriving at an open prison I would imagine!" - Anonymous
"Very good value for money. Helpful, friendly staff and the apartments are first rate,much better than an hotel. Very quiet and comfortable. Though they run a shuttle bus to the centre of Edinburgh, having a car is more convenient. Would definitely book there again. " - John Skelly
"Great value for money. The glorious views were worth the hike to the nearest bus stop but if you have a car or use the shuttle bus that should not be an issue. The fact that it is in a building site didnt affect us but that may change as the different building projects progress. Built in 2006 these stylish apartments have lift access to all levels; two comfortable bedrooms which can be arranged as twins or doubles on request. The apartments have private bathrooms with powerful showers and bath; fully fitted kitchens and have a comfortable lounge with a dining area, TV and DVD player. All NON-SMOKING
The Harbour apartments are located on a stylish new development in the vibrant area of Leith while the Edinburgh City Centre is just 20 minutes away. This cosmopolitan area has a wide variety of restaurants, cafs and bars, with something to please every taste.
Access to the Next Generation Gym Sports and Spa Facilities, secure parking - the Harbour Apartments offer a real alternative to a hotel room. Run on a hotel basis with a minimum one night stay we offer 3 Star accommodation and the freedom and flexibility of your own apartment for the same price as a hotel room.
Please note the Leith redevelopment project, however in the meantime some apartments do have views which include work sites as well as the Firth of Forth.

On your own
From Waverly Bridge cross diagonally right over Princes Street onto South St Andrew Street, Take a left onto St Andrew Square, then take the first right. Follow St Andrew Square down, take the second right onto Queen Street, head along to York Place. At traffic signals continue forward until Picardy Place roundabout. Turn left (1st exit) at the roundabout and head down past The Edinburgh Playhouse (on your right) until you reach another roundabout. Go straight over (1st exit) and follow Leith Walk until the road forks. At traffic signals turn left onto Great Junction Street. Take the second left onto Lindsay Road. Follow until a roundabout, take the 2nd exit, following signs for The Western Harbour Development, The Element and The Next Generation Gym.
Follow this road until you reach the final block. |
