We stayed at this hotel for 3 days en route home to the UK. Found it to be very relaxing. The rooftop pool was amazing and fortunately the weather was really great and we had the pool to ourselves for the morning before it got a bit busy but not crowded or hectic. Room service was very good and so was the food. Cost of menu and drinks were as expected for this class of hotel. Staff on reception were very helpful, courteous and polite. Booking in was efficient. Bit unnerving when the doormen whisk your luggage out of your cab but it was transported to our room with minimal delay. Unfortunately you will have to go further down to the other side of the harbour to see the Symphony of Lights show in the evenings because it is just out of view. Reception area looked beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and the fountain. Was a pleasure to view. Room was very comfortable and fairly spacious for 2 people. Beds very comfortable. Our room was on the 16th floor and it did take a while for housekeeping to reach our room but they are approachable if you need clean towels and tea and coffee top ups. Taxis can be booked at all times and are outside the door even at 04.00am and we found it easier to go by taxi to the airport rather than bus where it would cost HK$130 per person (by bus) then you would have to find your way to the hotel from there or just get a taxi and pay approx HK$250 and takes you door to door. Lovely, lovely hotel and would definitely go again if I had the opportunity.
I've stayed at the Harbour Grand several times and have usually enjoyed my stay, but this visit I only booked a few days in advance and everything was sold out and ridiculously expensive because the Canton fair was going on. I stayed in an expensive suite that wasn't much nicer than their normal rooms for 3x the cost. Plus the hotel was overcrowded and service was slow. Overall, I'd recommend the hotel except around the shows.

very good hotel friendly staff would def recommened
Another great experience with the harbour plaza hotels. This hotel is right in Whoampoa Garden, with great harbour views. Service was excellent, although was told we were 'upgraded' to a room meant for 3 people when we had paid for an extra person before we got to HK. Would stay again
The conceirge and reception staff were extremely helpful. The veiws from the restaurants, bar, pool and gym are stunning I would stay here again.
The rooms were big and the harbour views excellent. Guests in other rooms could not be heard at all. The service from the staff was excellent and all seemed to have a good understanding of the English language. The various restuarants catered for all tastes and there were offers in some of them. The pool was great and the views spectacular. The courtsey bus was a great help getting in and out of central Kowloon. The bus was very punctual and the air conditioning was very good in it as well. We were there in June when the weather was very humid.
Stayed only one night but found the location too far from the places like Nathan Road and MTR to get to Hong Kong Island although the hotel does run a shuttle service but it does take approx 15-20 mins although that also depends on the traffic on the roads. Didn't have time to use facilities but they looked good.
This is a first class facility.
Just returned from 5 nights at the Harbour Plaza hotel in Hong Kong and can honestly say it was the best hotel we have stayed at in terms of customer service, quality, facilities and value for money. I took my wife there for her surprise 40th birthday and upgraded to the Harbour Club with a Harbour view. I have stayed at many hotels in America and Europe and this was far in excess a fantastic hotel. Yes, it is away from the centre of Kowloon, but this was an advantage as the views and peace and quite was a real bonus when relaxing in the evening having a drink overlooking Hong Kong island. The shuttle bus is every 30mins and takes 10-12 mins which cannot be even classified an inconvenience as it could this long from the centre of Kowloon to other parts in a taxi in traffic. Highly recommended for business and pleasure.
The harbour view is execellent with both sides the commerical and residential buildings but hills far in front of me. I have a great sunny morning staying in the room watching the ships and ferries pass by under blue blue sky. So relaxing in this busy city.
Harbourside Hotel with amazing views - regular shuttle service to Nathan Street (10 minutes away) Fabulous rooftop swimming pool & spa - the gym also, has great views of the Harbour & HK Island. Pay the extra for a harbour view room - you won't be sorry!
We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle of the City. We probably would have used the pool if there was some sun protection. We realise umbrellas would not be suitable but some sort of fixed shelter for those that do not like to sunbake. Also our non-smoking room did have a cigarette smell to it particularly in the bathroom. The staff were most obliging and friendly.
Great hotel and superb food.located a little off the main track
Our party of four stayed here recently for two nights prior to embarking on a cruise from Hong Kong.Unfortunately on arrival at Hong Kong airport from London Heathrow we found that all our luggage for our party was missing. The front desk staff at Harbour Plaza hotel worked tirelessly for two days chasing the airlines and handling agents to find out where our luggage had gone. We were lucky that the luggage was found just prior to boarding our ship and with no small contribution from the hotel staff. We were very grateful to them as no other hotel could have done more on our behalf. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting H.K. We have spoken to other people who regularly use the Harbour Plaza and I would definitely book with them again if I return to H.K. P.S. apart from our luggage problem the service at the hotel was excellent and all the staff we encountered were helpful, professional and polite.
This hotel is excellent, the room is very big and spacious, nice bathroom and we had a big bed.The view from our room was so nice.Another good thing is the shuttle service to and from downtown(Nathan road) going there everyday is not a problem there's a shuttle every 15mins.The swimming pool is great! my 4 y/o son loved it very much because the pool is like an aquarium(see through)Over all,we will definitely go back to Harbour Plaza on our next vacation to HK.
Great...and despite other reviews it is NOT inconveniently located...
Being at Hong Hum which might be regarded as a disadvantage is not so in my opinion. The views are better than many of the exclusive hotels and the ferry ride to Central is one of the best 15 minute rides in the world. Hotel excellent as usual
Harbour Club worth the extra Fantastic views
Beautiful hotel, one of the most impressive places we have ever stayed.
Lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend
