Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel Hong Kong

Nice big hotel not in the centre of the main streets but a free shuttle will take you there and back every 20minutes. Nice views from our room, overlooking the harbour. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was very clean. Outdoor pool great for beating off the hot sticky weather in July. Furniture and in-room booklets need updating. Not a lot of tour information provided from the lobby.

We booked and paid for one bedroom suite and they upgraded us to the executive room without charge. Buffet breakfast is great. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to the main road (busy street) which is really really convenience and Hunghom MTR just about 3 mins walk from the hotel.

Very busy hotel,excellent free shuttle service from Kowloon Airport Express Railway Station & frequent free shuttle to local vibrant 'shopping centre'.Certainly would stay again

We had a great stay and were very impressed by staff and facilities. The pool is superb and perfect for a few laps. The shuttle bus to Kowloon runs right on time every 20 minutes and makes up for the hotel being a little out of the central areas. The hotel staff were helpful with everything we asked of them and we would stay at this hotel anytime we are in Hong Kong.

The location is quiet but convenient to the walk to the main train station. Also the hotel offers regular free shuttle bus to the central shopping district for tourists. The swimming pool is great with outdoor spa. The room is very clean and tidy.

It's the third time I stay at this hotel. Excellent view of the harbour from the room. The queen size bed is comfortable. The gym and swimming pool are well maintained. Since it's located just above the Hunghom railway station, one can easily go to Mongkok and Tsimshashu with one stop. Remember to buy an Octopus card.

Reasonably positioned 15-20 mins stroll to Nathan Road (30 mins to Star Ferry, Kowloon). Courtesy bus runs 07.00 to 23.00 to Kowloon Hotel - 5 mins, 3 times per hour - very convenient. Hotel also served by K1 courtesy bus every 12 mins to/from Kowloon Airport Express Railway Station - journey time 20-25 mins - very convenient. Depending on floor level and facing position, rooms have good views over HK Harbour. Club Lounge (20th Floor) has spectacular views. Rooms are a little bijou, but well designed with adequate storage, etc. Good bathroom (wc/shower). Meticulously clean rooms/public areas. Service in main restaurant. coffee shop and bar reasonably good. Buffet breakfast excellent. Chinese restaurant provided good food/service. Very busy reception - took 30 minutes to check out. Wi-fi available @ HK$120 per 24 hours, which is excessive when free wi-fi is available from numerous establishments in adjacent shopping mall and railway station.

great location and you only get what you pay for when it comes to room size and facility.

This is a very nice hotel ten minutes from downtown Kowloon (Tsim Sha Tsui). It is modern and spacious with a great outdoor swimming pool and spa and sun tanning area. Standard rooms are small so on later visits we have splurged on a Junior Suite and paid the extra for the Executive Club which allowed free breakfasts and evening drinks and hors d'oeuvres (we made it our evening meal)in the executive lounge adjacent to the roof garden only accessible from the executive lounge. A great place to watch the 08:00 pm laser show. We really like this hotel and stay here every time we pass through Hong Kong on our way to Europe. Highly recommended.

We paid a little extra for a breakfast and lounge club and found this to be great value. The room was excellent and a good size. Whilst the hotel was a liitle away from the centre of things, the airport express delivered straight there and the courtesy bus was also good. Very close to Hung Hom metro station. Overall a great stay.

Mixed up our reservation....wi fi costs pretty steep by world standards prices at the bar very steep .....nice rooms with view but service needs improving.

It was nice to be greated with a friendly face - this is quite rare in Hong Kong. This hotel is right next door to Hong Hum station and a great place to stay if you have only one night in Hong Kong or using the Through train to Guangzhou. The Airport express shuttle also picks up there. Rooms were nice - not too small, and there was lots of activity in th e bars and restaurants of the ground floor when we arrived. Situated right next to a large shopping mall, you can do some last minute shopping or eating in aircon comfort. We caught the hotel shuttle to Middle Road and then the mtr to Mong Kok for the night market. This is not the most central location for a longer stay in Hong Kong, but a great stopover location, especially if you use the Trains. Also close to Whampoa Gardens where there are llots of eating places. We will be back!

Used to likethis place but after last stay no so much. Paid premium, and received crappy room. Still it is across from train so convenience sometimes overules.

Quality hotel with a nearby mall. Although away from hub of Kowloon the free shuttle allows access to most areas. Took up the offer of the use of their Club Floor. Although a little expensive at 460 hong kong per night the provided facilities were thought to be worth it. Unfortunately we were not advised the bottled water provided each day was not complementry.

Although situated away from the centre of Kowloon, with a room on Level 17 overlooking Victoria Harbour, a shuttle bus every 20 minutes to/from Nathan Road (only 200 metres from the Star ferry) and a covered walkway to Hung Hom MTR this was a great hotel.

I was shocked by the fact that the hotel only provide distilled drinking water in the room for the first day. After that they make you purchase it. That is unreal. I don't believe I will stay there again.

This place was great, rooms were a little awkward with two suitcases, but comfortable. Decent size bed for tall people and they had a complimentary shuttle to the local shopping mall. Also attached to the train station, which was handy. Would stay here again.

As I was getting in late and needed to get the through train to the mainland the next day the location was perfect for me, probably for someone wanting to see the tourist sites not the best location. Although with the KCR being across the way it is easy to access the MTR and get to other areas of HK. I felt that whilst the hotel is very convenient to Hung Hom station it was overpriced for the size of the room even by HK standards. (I visit HK about 6 times a year so have a good idea on whats available) The bathroom shower head was broken and would point to the floor, there was also mould in the bathroom, which I would expect in the Mainland not in HK.

Assumed the hotel would be on the harbour but not quite there! No views even though we paid extra. Breakfast was good and a worthwhile add-on. Not very handy to shops but luckily there is a shuttle that leaves every 30 min. Rooms quite nice and clean. Overall ok for the price just position not quite what we were after. Can't walk everywhere - just a little too far out but is close to train station if you prefer.
