Harmony Hotel Beijing

Another very enjoyable stay - location and service excellent - the level of English spoken by the front desk staff was great. Another not to be missed aspect of a stay is the dumplings in the restaurant - the two ladies make really delicious ones.

I stayed twice (different rooms) during my trip to China. Good value-for-money hotel. Some old furniture + curtains in the room but fine... and clean. Friendly main desk service, good English. Location is great, with a mini-market and other shops+restaurants just crossing the road. The subway (Beijing Railway Station) is very close (2 min walk) so you have easy access to main Beijing attractions. I would definitely repeat the experience.

I have stayed at this property many times and each time I return I am pleased to witness that the excellent service and facilities the hotel provides still exist. Thoroughly enjoy the food in the restaurant and the fact that most of the staff in front line positions speak English to a satisfactory level. An added benefit now is the shuttle bus service available from Beijing Airport to the Beijing Railway Station which is a short (very) walk from the hotel - RMB16 for a one way ticket is more favourable than RMB100 for a taxi. To the management and staff of "The Harmony" congratulations and thanks for maintaining your standards - I will be returning next week

Located across from Beijing's Railway Station, the Harmony is however very quiet especially if you stay on the north side of a higher floor. The young ladies at the front desk were pleasant & helpful. Will gladly stay there again

The hotel is clean, well located (near the subway station), and the service was excellent (very kind and efficient peoples).

Have stayed here many times and this stay was just as pleasing as the others. The location is just great very convenient for many places and specially convenient for the subway +- 800 metres away - the staff were as attentive as ever and I really enjoyed the meals in the restaurant - the dumplings were very delicious. Will be back later in the year.

Good location by Beijing station for easy travel around Beijing. Limited english spoken by staff, but enough to get by.

Overall we found the Harmony Hotel to be of excellent value. Very close to the Bejing Metro Station which we used a lot to get around. The staff spoke basic English so it was not to difficult to get the service we needed. We had no problems with cleanliness and would stay there again.

Very central and ood value or money. Two minutes walk from eijing Railway Station and No. 2 subway line. Also now has free wieless Internet (May 2010). I'vestayed in better in Beijing, but not for the price. Aircon not very effective, so warm in room but still good value.

Just tell the taxi driver to take you to the Beijing Zan, which is the east rail way station. Then the hotel is slightly to the north west, around the first corner. Hard to miss. It's convenient to the subway, where you can ride all day long for 30 cents, and to the main drag running east west through Tianamen Square. Quiet, convenient, and clean. Hard to beat for the price, but the breakfast isn't worth it. Instead get a coffee and a pastry at the SPR coffee shop on the next block, and use their free internet. The Henderson Shopping center is also close by, with lots of good restaurant choices, as well as some cheap fast food types.

This hotel exceeded my expectation. I will recommend it. Neext time I am in Beijing I will stay there.

A stones throw away from Beijing Main Railway Station (as well as Line 2 of the subway), the Harmony Hotel is an excellent choice. The hotel was nice and warm with clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. We arrived at 8:00am and they were able to have a room ready within 20 mins despite check-in normally being 11:00am. Our second room was ready within 15 mins after that but unfortunately had been used by a smoker previously. They changed our room for a better one as soon as it became available with no problem. Rooms were quiet, with a fridge and mini bar, plus a jug in each room. Hairdriers are available from reception, as were sewing kits. Buffet breakfast (cost 48 Yuan each) of cerials, fruit juices, toast, steamed buns, several oriental dishes as well as bacon & eggs. Tea, coffee and hot milk was also available. Will recommend this hotel (and Beijing as a whole) to anybody - and would definitly stay here again if we are lucky enough to return.

Excellent hotel, hard to beat for the price. Comfortable, convenient, and friendly, helpful staff. Have stayed other places in Beijing for around the same price, but they're not as nice as this.

Good budget hotel, nothing luxurious or fancy, no internet in rooms, but for the price you get a good, relatively clean, quiet room in a great location central to many places in Beijing.

I have stayed at the Harmony 3 times in the last six months and have been very, very satisfied on each occasion. I was particulary impressed this time to identify many of the staff from my previous visits - this is a positive and probably indicates a strong management. Needless to say, I will stay there again on my next visit - it is ideal for both tourists and business visitors being very well located.

The hotel is in a very good location. Close to a lot of the main attractions and subway lines. The breakfast is okay and the hotel is clean. The beds are very hard according to European standards, but (as we were reminded) you are in China. It is very easy to get to the Great Wall (Badaling) by taking a short subway ride and taking the local bus 919. (Much cheaper that the tour price asked by the company advertised in the hotel) The hotel staff were quite friendly and tried to help where they could. Their English was not that good though...
