A charming Irish atmosphere is faithfully recreated at Harrigan's Irish Pub. With authentic decor from the land of the leprechaun and an Irish manager, Harrigan's has a charm and style all of its own. Renowned for its food, the Beef and Guinness Pie and Wood fired pizzas of Harrigan's Irish Pub are a specialty - both washing down well with a selection of Irish beers on tap! Bookings are essential. In fact, Harrigan's is the only licensed hotel in Pokolbin. Despite Harrigan's Irish flavour, however, we forced our manager to make some Aussie concessions Australian beers and Hunter wines flow freely and the 'cook your own' Aussie BBQ is unique in the Hunter Valley. But it's not just food and drink that makes Harrigan's special Enjoy the live entertainment on weekends and a fantastic outdoor area overlooking the vineyards, or perhaps stay in one of our 48 beautifully appointed four-star guestrooms, each with their own private balcony or courtyard. With all this at your disposal, Harrigan's Irish Pub is your Hunter vineyards 'home away from home'.

This hotel was well priced for the style and location. We had a great weekend and avoided the taxi queue departing from Harrigans on the Sat night!

Harrigans is nice and central to everything in the Hunter Valley and has a pub / restaurant on site. It can be very noisy though and i would not stay there if you want a tranquil evening.

The bathroom needed a little attention -some peeled paint on painted !! tiles-which for a hotel of its star rating seemed a bit do-it-yourself/handyman solution to what must have been tired decor in the bathroom. we did ask for extra pillows-4 is normal these days in 4* establishments-and they never arrived. on the positive side great size room with excellent private veranda overlooking the vineyards. Good quality well priced meals. and very friendly staff on a very busy weekend.

As the Motel is part of a Pub, the noise is very irritating ea staff emptying bottles in a container at 12.15 am. There is also NO security which means that drunks can wonder anywhere into the motel part of the complex. waiting time for a meal on Fridays and Saturdays is close to an hour and to get a drink approx 25 minutes...by the way NO table service. I*n other words, it is a accommodation for young people, and for the price they charge, to expensive

Excellent place to stay. Facilities, meals, accommodation and entertainment very good. I think pricing per night is too expensive.

Room air conditioning was poor. Covered walkways from rooms to pub and dinning room would be good in wet weather.
