Harvey's Point Country Hotel

"Front desk staff had difficulty understanding or speaking English. On check in they didn't initially have a double room as booked but told us that the twin room beds were almost queen size. They were infact largs single beds. Phoned down to reception and asked to be moved, told me that the rate I was given was so low that I would have to pay 80 Euro for the double room! We eventually were moved foc. Had to ask for new towels as the originals were of dish cloth thickness. In the afternoon we wanted to have a picnic by the lake,the girl on the front desk give us directions.... ended up in the neighbours front garden. She quite clearly doesn't know the english translation for left or right. Tip,bring insect repellent cream not only did we get bitten at the lake but the restaurant that evening was filled with midges. Even after the excellent room rate received from [your website] I thought it was expensive for the average service and lack of leisure facilities. Would we go back? Maybe. " - Harry Reid

"Food and service very good Location - beautiful setting on shores of Lough Eske Rooms - we stayed in a Courtyard Room which was comfortable and well equipped. However the bathroom could have done with some refurbishment - if your budget stretched to a higher grade of room it would be worth it. " - Graeme Scott
