Getting there:7 minutes by taxi approx $14.00 from city centre, Take the MOTAT/ Western Springs/St Luke's motorway exit onto St Luke's Road, then take the first street on the left into Duncan McLean, which links with Western Springs Road. Follow road directly up hill as western road goes in 2 directions Easy bus and Train access to city.
Check-in Procedure:Check in is from 12pm but if you wish to check in earlier we will do our best to have your room ready .Guests are welcome to use our pool lounge and bathroom and leave luggage here earlier
Car parking:Plenty of secure off street parking. Guest reviews taken from our guest book Peace so close to the city ! Nice breakfast but room was a bit smaller than I thought it would be.
We had a very pleasant time in a charming old house close to the city. The manager was helpful and the breakfasts wonderful.
Very friendly and relaxing. A home from home. No rules in your face. The buildings and gardens themselves were beautiful and had a warmth that you don't get in modern hotels.I will definitely go back there.
We have stayed here at least 4 times now. The owners are very considerate of our needs. They provide a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful setting. The surroundings are very quiet and restful too.

An excellent property in a convenient location if travelling by car. Rooms and facilities were charming and the hospitality was of a high standard.
An unusual difference and atmosphere from a Hotel stay. Very private and quiet. Not suitable for children. Full price stay would be deemed too expensive. Hosts were great and their restaruant recommendation was excellent. Breakfast in front of the open fire was superb.
Beautifully fitted out in a warm and friendly setting. Would recommend as a weekend retreat to anyone! Will be staying two nights next time. Nice cafe/bar district 10 min walk away.
Delightful heritage accommodation. Small rooms, no fridge, but beautiful breakfast in lovely dining room or garden room. We enjoyed it.

Ideal place to stay, close to the central city and the North West of Auckland. Easy access to the motorways. Comfortable, quiet, great service and wonderful breakfasts. I will stay there again.

This is a simply delightful hotel that could not have been more elegant. All the rooms were exquisitely decorated and the manager was extremely gracious and helped make the stay a most memorable one. The main dining room was a real delight and the grounds were immaculate. The breakfast that was included was outstanding. An experience not to be missed.

Beautiful bed and breakfast in nice surrounding and with a nice garden. Certainly a recommendation if you are going to stay in Auckland. Five kilometres outside of the CBD, but good connections with public transport.
